What is a good dehydrator?
I want to get a dehydrator but there are a lot to chose from and the prices really vary. Anyone have any suggestions? TIA

I ahve a nesco that I enjoy. I ordered it on amazon with additional trays and silicone pads. I make my own crackers and dry my soaked almonds with mine.

I also have the Nesco from Amazon. I got the Snackmaster, it was under $35 including shipping.
I love it! The motor is in the top which is nice because you don't have stuff dripping down into the motor this way. It works well, cleans up easily, and I'm very glad I bought it! I make beef jerky, salmon jerky, kale chips, zucchini and crookneck chips, so far. It was money very well spent IMHO. I know there are more expensive models but this one works so well for what I want to do that I don't see the reason to spend more on one. JMHO of course!

I also have the nesco! And love it. I only make jerky. Mine isn't from amazon, I bought it in a store. And you can add extra trays if needed. But it came with 4 or 5 so I haven't needed to. Well worth the few dollars we spent on it.

I have an Excalibur. Pricy, but it will do large amounts. Motor's on the back so, stuff dripping isn't an issue. I can dry my herbs, onions, peppers, tomatos, and beef jerky.
