I think I heard one time on this board that you get "jiggly" before you lose, or whoosh or whatever. lol. Either that or you happen to be losing muscle somehow...

Even thin people can jiggle.
I think it's age and loss of muscle tone.

Jiggles = Good!

There is a "theory" that after the fat is removed from a fat cell, the cell refills with water in the short-term. Eventually the fat cell will release the water and that is where the whoosh comes from. This may be a reason for the non-linear fat-loss some experience. You are doing everything right for weeks with no drop on the scale and then all of a sudden you have a 3, 4, 5lb. drop overnight. Prior to the whoosh, fat that was once firm will get "squishy" and "jiggly" which suggest a change in the composition of the fat cell.

I jiggled...therefore I lost. haha. I too was suffering from the "Jiggles". I had felt squishy for about a week prior. Then over the weekend a nice 3 lbs woosh came along. I am thrilled. I have been stuck in a plateau for over a month.

I'm having this same problem!! I'm only 23 and my boobs a squishy now. They were firm but now it feels like I don't have anything in them. DH said I could get a boob job, but I'm not into that. If I start working out do you think this would help?> Sorry to be so personal..

Because of weightloss, breast feeding or what? I think my problem came after I breast fed two boys..hungry boys at that!

I think someone once coined the term "jiggly puff" or something like that - referring to this squishy state LOL Part of me have always been squishy, so I don't think I would know the difference

Well I'm very squishy, but I def notice that a period of extra squishy jiggle always comes before a loss of inches...( I do weigh myself sometimes, but have learnt that clothes/tape measure are a much better way of telling.)
I haven't lost a pound in 5months, but my waist just keeps going down...2 inches in the past fortnight....though that was after an age of staying the same.

Jiggly is always a good thing...it's called 'jiggly poof'. That's the term for it.

This happened to me a few weeks ago. It got worse & worse. And thenovernight-it just disappeared.

Did I see a drop on the scale afterwards? Nope. Just 3 inches lost around my waist and 1 inch lost around my hips.

Dyan
