It's called Breakthrough. I've just started it and it looks like a rather large read. The book is a series of interviews she conducts with anti-aging doctors. I've just read that skin tags are indicitive of type 2 diabetes..who knew!

They are indicitive of a lot of metabolic diseases including Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. Before Atkins when I was diagnosed with PCOS and metabolic syndrome I had lots of skin tags and now I do not think I have any on my whole body. Thank you Dr. A!

I bought it and started reading it. There is some interesting stuff in it. I don't have the time or money or available doctors to do all the things she does to stay healthy though. Wish I did. Due to my gastro problems, I wish I could get my supplements through an IV twice a week like she does. I tried hyperbarics, but at $250 a dive, I can't afford it. Her main emphasis is on the bioidentical hormones and I can't get anyone to address that for me either.

I am tempted to add the 8 ounces of pomograntate juice, but I think it would mess up my low carbing.

She really starts out with a leisurely day too. I am up at 4:30 AM and out the door at 5:30 AM- I don't have the time to start my day out like she does. There is no way I can get 9 hours of sleep!! LOL

It is a pretty big book so it will take awhile to get through it all, but I am finding some nuggets of gold that I can incorporate into my life.

I did know that skin tags relate to insulin resistance. So much to learn, so little time. I am anxious to hear what others think!

I am reading it now, it is a big read. Have been reading it in parts here and there. Very interesting. I also thought the skin tags being a virus that can lead to diabetes was interesting since I have a few. There is a lot of information to get through. I am enjoying it.

"What is a skin tag?

A skin tag is a common, acquired benign skin growth that looks like a small piece of hanging skin. Skin tags are often described as bits of skin- or flesh-colored tissue that projects from the surrounding skin from a small, narrow stalk. They typically occur in characteristic locations including the neck, underarms, eyelids, and under the breasts (especially where underwire bras rub directly beneath the breasts)."

Her whole book includes anti aging techniques- slowing it down. Proper hormones, supplements, exercise, proper eating (avoiding sugar), proper sleep, etc.

Cool- thanks! But how do you do it long distance? Do you order the tests and then I need someone (doctor) to determine the results and what I need, correct? And the pharmacy would need a doctor's script? Is that how it works?

Sungoddess, the way I started was to call Walgreens and ask them where there was a compounding pharmacy. When they told me, then I called the compounding pharmacy closest to me and ask if they could give me the name of some Dr's who would prescribe bio-identical hormones. That's how I found the Dr. I go to now..........and it made a world of difference!!

I really like Suzanne Somers. She strikes me as a genuinely good person, and so vivacious and with a true desire to help.

Love her hair, too! She's about to be 62 & boy, she just looks amazing all-around.

I think the pharmacy does it with a saliva sample and then communicates with your doc. I think. GL!

Hmm..not so sure about the skin tags.

If it's true, then my dog is on the path to diabetes. I've always believed they are simply due to heredity and develop as we age.

I saw her on TV the other night and she said that is healthy for women to get their nipples stimulated daily and for men to ejaculate often. I've been working on ways to keep me and my DW VERY healthy!!
