Davinci's syrup--okay for Splenda-haters??

I have yet to delve into the wide world of sugar free syrups, but am interested. I really dislike the aftertaste of plain Splenda, so I'm looking for the opinion of other Splenda-haters, like myself, who have tried the Davinci's syrups. I have tried Torani sugar-free chocolate syrup and thought it was pretty good. Are the Davinci's syrups similar? Are there any sugar-free syrups that are sweetened with anything other than Splenda? TIA for all of your wisdom!

Hi! I don't hate Splenda per se, but I'll answer..

I think Torani and DaVinci are similar in taste...

I don't know the answer to your second question, although I've only seen Splenda-sweetened SF syrups.

I love them! No aftertaste in the flavors I have tried. White Chocolate, French Vanilla, Dulce, Cherry. All were very good.

Some are sweetened with maltitol. Don't go there!

Hi Erin...
You might consider going to a coffee shop and asking if you can taste some of their sugar-free Splenda based syrups (bring some little spoons with you).

Easy to do during an off-hour if they will cooperate (just order a small coffee and tell them you want some sugar free syrup and you are not sure which, and ask may you taste them).

Just a thought.

I thought there was a thread about sugar free syrups that were sweetened with stevia. It was a couple months ago. I think they needed to be ordered online. Google "stevia sweetend syrups" and see what you come up with.

I think one of the flavors was lemon drop and I thought that sounded good.

After hearing about how delicious the DaVinci's flavors were, I ordered several different ones.

I made the cream cheese muffins, and while they were good at first, I could still taste that terrible aftertaste in every flavor I bought.

I ended up giving all my bottles to my daughter, who uses them quite often.

Maybe some of us can just detect that aftertaste, no matter how mild it is?

I can't stand the coconut bark for the same reason--terrible Splenda aftertaste, no matter which variation I try making.

I am limited to what our Walmart carries and I use the French Vanilla, Caramel and the Kahlua flavors. I use them in my coffee, and on occasion, use the vanilla in some plain yogurt for a nice change of pace. I use splenda too and it doesn't bother me. Not sure how it's suppose to other than just sweeten my coffee, but I only use one packet a day.
