Are you starting induction? You might want to avoid the franken foods as they are chock full of sodium. Probably the soup has a very large amount of sodium as well. You might want to refresh yourself with the induction menu. Maybe start your day with a couple of fried eggs or an egg cream (blended eggs with heavy cream, davinci syrup or cold coffee) and lunch maybe salad greens (I prefer baby spinach) with flaked tuna and dinner chicken, steak, fish and some vegetables. Try and stay away from prepared foods and eat clean with fresh veggies, limited cheese, and your favorite protein.
Just a few suggestions that helped me. |

Other than the hot dog I don't see any protein foods. Are you eating fish, beef, chicken, eggs things like that as well?

It would if you're eating an all salt diet
![]() Hot dogs and canned soup are really high in salt and they always make me gain water weight. |

based on what you posted you are eating I'm not surprised you've gone up. Its really really salty and way too low in protein, fat, and calories as others mentioned. It seems like maybe you haven't had a chance to read the book yet? Please do get your hands on one and dive in. In the meantime here is an approved induction list:
Induction food list You should be eating until satisfied from the foods on the list including meat, eggs, full fat dressings, full fat mayo, 2 C of salad greens a day plus 1 C other vegetables. Try doing induction exactly as described and 99 times out of 100 you will experience encouraging weight loss by the end of your two week induction. Good Luck! ETA, Here's a sample menu: B: 2 eggs cooked in butter with 3 slices of bacon, Hot Coffee with 1 fl oz heavy cream Sn: Lettuce roll ups with sliced turkey and mayo L: Tuna Salad made with mayo and celery on a bed of Salad Greens Sn: Deviled Eggs D: Steak with side of Green Vegetables with Butter

I agree with this, I will say that I've gained weight while trying to get into keto but that was due to my fluid intake. I also take in electrolytes because I sweat it all back out. This causes me to retain water, I've said it before and I'll say it again. Redo your induction, add more protein, fats and calories. Try staying off the scale for two weeks and see what happens. Are you doing any cardio? or trying to stimulate your metabolism any? |

Pick a plan and follow it to the letter for two weeks and see what happens. I lost right away, and felt great after 3 days! No pudding, no hotdogs. Please don't forget your health in your quest to lose weight. Good luck!

Thank you all very much. It's tough for me as I work for Panera and am around all sorts of yummy goodness everyday. ATGH. The soup is the BEST choice there, seriously. I often pair it with a salad, but it's so hard.

Can you pack a lunch maybe?
Hard Boiled eggs are a PERFECT portable protein rich LC Inuction friendly food. I'd love to see you adding a couple of these to your day! |

the soup is from Panera? According to their website, the French Onion soup is FULL of carbs - 13 grams for a 9.25 oz serving
And sugar-free pudding is not low-carb either! |

For optimum success, you will want to plan and prepare your meals. Eat real food....you're worth it! Have you read the Atkins plan yet? Those food choices are not nourishing your body. Kisha posted a great sample list for you.
