I did it!!!
A thread here the other day helped me decide I had to get rid of my of bigger clothes, so I wouldn't have them to come back to. Then last night I had a dream that I couldn't stop eating junk. So today I cleaned out my drawers, and closet. Its all out in the garage now in the rummage pile. I feel so good about this. I thought it would bother me, but I feel more confident now than ever! I am down to 2 months left before DH is back (been gone 10 months) and eventhough I haven't lost in a couple weeks, I am in a good place, and I know I'll get there eventually.

They're a crutch, ain't they? I was so nervous boxing up my size 26s (stretched out to 28s) but it was liberating to bag 'em. Before I knew it, I was also packing up stuff I plain didn't like, and began throwing out old, worn clothes. I'd wear stuff until it was rags, just because it fit or I felt I didn't deserve better. I still fight those feelings at times, but wearing pretty things that fit are a huge boost and help me to make progress. Plus, I can't slip back into bad habits without realizing it; I'd have to go shopping for bigger stuff. Congratulations for taking the plunge!

tommyswife---so was I--as a matter of fact I have lost MANY times and always kept them. But its been 10 months on plan, and I don't ever see me going back on sugar. So I won't be needing them.
Thanks everyone for your replies! |
