Do you do

the same exercises every day?

I started riding my bike (outside) Sunday. I didn't do it on Tuesday because of the rain.

I love riding my bike and I think for now I should do it as often as possible so I can build up some endurance.

So my question for you, if you exercise, do you change it up every day or do pretty much the same thing?

Thanks!

For me, yes I do the same exercises daily. I probably should take a day off of weight lifting, not going to happen, I love to exercise and as long as I do the same ones daily my scale stays in "check" and that makes for 1 happy camper, Me
Good Luck

No. I do 3 days a week of weights. 3 days a week of cardio intervals.

But to me-you have to find an exercise you love. Otherwise, it will be hard to stick to it.

So if you enjoy bike riding-by all means-do it!

I do weights, stability ball, and I run (well once this toe heals..for now, I walk). I do *something* 7 days a week ... typically run 4 days, then focus on core strengthening and weights on the non-running days.

I'm a big believer in mixing things up !

I think you need to keep your body guessing. In my humble opinion, humans weren't meant to do the same thing all the time. Think of the activities of daily living for our prehistoric relatives..squatting and lunges for gathering..running and throwing for hunting, and of course my favorite, running away from something that wants to eat you and possibly climbing up a tree to get away from it!

Now I do. Before I was going to the gym and doing a variety of things (cardio, strength training, classes) but found that my body wasnt responding as well as I would've hoped. What I did discover is that walking is the best exercise for me. When I walk, walk, walk, my body starts to let go of the weight and inches. Now I just walk and also add in some dumbbell exercises to build some lean muscle and tone/burn more calories.

I change often also. There are days I cannot stomach being inside the gym. Some days it is a no brainer. I take advantage of my cable's ON DEMAND workouts, I use the DVR to record w/o on the FitTV channel. I have weights and a stability ball at home. At least once a week I will walk/jog with DH (while he runs). I have recently come to terms that I don't HAVE to go to the gym to get a good workout. It still gives me some guilt but if I do something each day I feel good.

While running is my first love when it comes to exercise I cross train by weight lifting, using the exercise ball and using the ellipitical.

I shoot for at least 5 days of formal exercise a week. Some weeks 6 days.
