EAT EAT & EAT some more

Do any of you have days that you eat way to much? All low carb but still way to many calories. I feel like a PIG. So next question is, what are the most filling things you eat? TIA

funny you brought that up. . im going through it right now. last night i was bugging my husband so bad that he went upstairs to watch tv.
i ended up eating like 8 sticks of celery with maries blue cheese dip. 2 cream cheese muffins. a spoonfull of peanut butter. a weird concoction of protein powder heavy cream and melted unsweetened chocolate. . . i dipped pork rinds in that concoction.
ohhhh. forgot to mention this was after i had a hamburger patty with mushrooms in lettuce leaves. . . .
all i can think of now is "what should i eat?!?!?!?!?"

so to answer your question: i have no clue what will fill you up, since i cant find a solution for me!!! ahhhhhhhh

Yes I have those days…last night at dinner was one of them. I ate two beef patties w/cheese, 5 slices of bacon, small salad with ranch dressing, and 2 servings of SF jello w/ home made whipped cream. Everything is on plan but way too much plan. I felt guilty eating so much and I hate feeling guilty.

I had a few days of that last week (week b4 TOM). I felt like all I did was eat. I was in the mood to cook, spent like $250 at the grocery store, ran through all of my LC recipes and ate like a pig for three days. Never did find anything to satisfy it. HOWEVER this week I can't hardly make myself eat! Go figure. I'm thinking it will balance itself out in the end.

Eat FAT!!! Fat is where it's at! Fat is filling-therefore, it is self-regulating. It will be hard to eat too much if you are eating fat.

Where can you get fat?

Butter
Mayo
Olive Oil
Avocados (Only 1/2 per day if on Induction)
Nuts (if you're not on Induction)
Hemp Seed Oil
Fattier cuts of meat

YES! Some days I am a bottomless pit. I can easily have breakfast, lunch, HUGE snack and 2 servings at dinner!!! I still cant figure out what triggers it as it not a consistent pattern. I guess I am just hungry, LOL!

Definitely!! I don't know how some meals I don't need much and some I need 14 servings.

Like for lunch today I had a bologna sammich and 6 Cheetos (doesn't sound very LC does it?). I had a couple oopsies and some yummy chicken bologna with cheese, chili mustard, and mayo. Needed some crunch so I had a whopping 6 Cheetos and am completely stuffed!

We are having the chiliburger casserole for supper. That is very filling to me.

Hi TBAnna...
Somedays I eat more than others, but don't consider it too much - still not gaining weight (and am losing inches).

I think it would be hard to eat too much if following low-carb plans even casually (not carelessly).

some days i need more, others i need more than that!!!

the really bad times are week-ends when i have no structured time. on non-rainy days, i will sit outside for hours just to be away from the house. once my foot is all better, i will be able to do some real serious walking. eating is a very comforting experience. i try to be careful to eat ONLY when i am hungry. sometimes. i actually put the food away for another day. Chinese sliced roast pork & spare ribs are what satisfies me for at least 1 meal. I can do a house special soup with 5 ribs (sometimes 10) w/o the soup, at least 10, usually more. It is certain, I will still be challenged in the portion control dept up to my last day on Earth (or Ferenghinar). Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

I was JUST THINKING this too....

Today I had : a fried egg and 3 sausages and 1/4 of a chick breast leftover from dinner.
then lunch I had 1 big chicken breast and a ton of asparagus.
Then I had a 1 minute muffin for a mid snack
Then.. I had dinner: Heroine chicken wings , 6 of them, some salad and some green beans.
Good grief!!
No wonder Im not losing any weight.

I am one of those people who is most satisfied with protein and bulk in lc veggies. I find chicken gives me that satiety feeling. So do big stiry fries and salads. Most of my meals involve good portions of meat and veggies.

While I like fats and eat plenty, I am not someone who finds pure fat satisfying. A slab of cream cheese just makes me want to eat more. If I wrap less in a slice of turkey that is satisfying. Eggs really kill the hunger for me, especially in an omellette with veggies.

I have those eating the paint off the walls days too. I've found certain foods make it worse. Like anything processed. Processed sausages or cheeses make me incredibily hungry. You might want to think if you are eating something that triggers those feelings.

If you have any type job that you have to submit to drug testing, you may want to skip the hemp seed oil. It's supposed to have practically none of the drug in it but in the Air Force we have had people turn up positive on the drug test and some claimed they taken hemp oil so while it's not supposed to happen, just be aware it has been reported to occur.

My honest opinion is they were just using it for an excuse but depending on the manufacturer and if they properly ensure THC isn't in their product who knows.

I guess that doest add up to much but it felt like I was rummaging around for any and everything... ugh...make it stop!

I always have those days around TOM. I don't think that it's real hunger but it feels like I am starving all the time. I just have to eat, eat, eat, eat!

My favorite thing to eat that satisfies my crazy hunger are egg salad deviled eggs. It's just a deviled egg but with other ingredients (veggies, peppers, sometimes protein) mixed into the egg yolk. Also, seared salmon or grilled chicken breast works well. I've found that I need to pretty much overload on protein w/fat with very little carbs to get through the day.

I went through about three weeks of this, back in July. It was right after I started going to the gym again, so my body must have been adjusting to new exercise. But for weeks I was hungry all the time, which is defnitely unusual for me on Atkins! I made a few adjustments, eating a little more, making sure I'm getting enough quality protein, plenty of fat of course, and it eventually went away. But it was not fun!

I am having a day like this today. It is the last of TOM of the month today,so I don't know to what this should be attributed. UGGHHHH!!! I am just starving!!! I even ate ground beef with cream cheese added for lunch. I haven't had any diet sodas or artificial sweeteners, and my stomach is actually growling!
