I QUIT SMOKING 4 DAYS AGO!!!

Just wanna say that it's going well and I'm hanging in there. I made it through the weekend and that's always the hardest part, right?

I've lost 50 pounds and kept them off, I've made exercise a daily part of my life, but smoking was the last baddie that had to go ... and it's going baby!

Wish me luck

outstanding!
Funny after I lost my weight (started at 144) I also tackled the smoking
low carb gave me such a feeling of control and success that it helped with the smoking!

For me the hardest part was getting through an argument with my (then) DH without picking up a smoke to calm my nerves. When I made it through THAT, (and I did), I knew I could make it through anything! That was, let's see.....19 years ago! Got a new DH now (who would never have even looked at me if I had been a smoker at the time.)

Congratulations on your accomplishment. Take it ONE day at a time, and remember: you are now a non-smoker. Do what non-smokers do!

Good for you!! I quit July 4th, with one slip! Save some money!

Remember, if you slip, that is okay ~ just keep at it!!

I am on Wellbutrin to assistance and it really works wonders!

Congratulations!! I just hit my one month anniversary of quitting on friday. The best advice i can give is stay away from the habitual places or activities that went along with the smoking, (phone talking, coffee etc.) it really helps alot! I also quit on a weekend and i figure if you make it through the weekend you can make it another weeek and then another and so on. Good luck to you!!

Congratulations to all of you non-smokers. That was one addiction that I thought I'd never shake. I thought I would be a smoker forever.

This November 16th it will be 4 years for me. No slips ever.

My advice is to keep your fat high, stick with induction levels and make sure your omega 3 consumption is high. This will help your cognitive function which is half the battle of smoking. I did this and did not gain any weight. I also increased my exercise which motivated me.

Congratulations!! Aug 6th was a year for me! I gained 50 pounds in a year when I quit! My lungs feel great and I can smell again. Now I just have to lose this weight.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

I quit 4 years ago on October 26th with the help of wellbutrin and websites such as quitnet. There is not one thing I regret about quitting smoking, and you won't either!
