Aww...that's so sweet of you !!

The foot is coming along .. right now, I'm dealing with a FIERY sensation as the nerves come back to LIFE ... There are times I'd swear someone is holding a match to my toe ...Plus, its doing that on both sides of the bones that they cut .. so its a FIERY double-feature that can make me CRY !

I've got this *&*^& splint thing I'm supposed to wear for an hour 3 times a day that puts what they call a "gentle stretch" on the joint .. Um, GENTLE? How about TORTUOUS? So far, I'm up to intervals of about 30-40 minutes before I cry "UNCLE" and make DH remove it ... Doctor swears up and down this is the ONLY WAY to restore my range of motion ... I think he's a masochist in disguise ....

Its been 4 weeks and 4 days since the surgery .. which means: 3 weeks 3 days until I can walk on it .. 7 weeks and 3 days until I WILL RUN ON IT. Does my excitement show ?

Thanks for asking!

Betty

I've been known to down an entire order, and they put a LOT of fries in there. They load the bag with the burger and fries, and then do an extra scoop of fries just for good measure. Those fries are amazing.

Yeah ... so my daughter tells me ...

So DH goes to get the order tonight, right? He gets the BURGER for me, and eats every last starch stick right in front of me. Well, he claims they were good ... must have done the job .. he's asleep in a carb-induced semi-coma on the couch and here I am, WIDE awake and ALERT at the computer !

The bozo.

I'm so sorry you are dealing with so much pain, but hopefully that will be past soon and you'll be "back on your feet" again soon! Don't overdo it - make sure you don't stress that toe before its ready for it! I know how much you love to run, but would hate to see you injure it if its not healed 100% before you put the running stress on it!

Thanks, sweetie ! I'm trying REEEEEEALLLY hard to be a good girl and mind the doctor's NO WEIGHT BEARING orders ... {repeating to self: it will be worth it to WAIT...}

Besides, DH has threatened great bodily harm if I even TRY to walk on it...

you might encourage him to look up the nutrition info on five guys' website. A double burger and an entire order of fries (ALL of the fries they throw in) is close to 1,000 calories.

We'd go the one in Springfield. Often. We discovered it when we were staying at one of the nearby hotels and it just *happened* to be within walking distance. The inside was so rough-looking, but wow. I was still eating carbs then, so the fries were a staple. LOL!

We'd go to one on Rt. 1 too, but not as often. I think we'll be moving back to Alexandria this next summer!!

hey, sugarless, i think real estate values on your house

just went up astronomically!!! Nothing wrong with fast food, as long as we make the right choices. I hope your foot is well on the mend. I have to walk a 1/2 hr to get to a McDonalds. A sacrifice I don't mind making. Eventually, i will get back to my "power" walking, which will allow me to have access to Wendys as well. Enjoy your new logistics. Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

Never heard of five guys but I googled it and found one is opening soon about 4 miles from me. There is also a new diner opening soon called burger deluxe. Can't wait to try that.

Their burgers are the BEST! OMG!

I order without bun - no problem they put it on a plate for me.

AllieC...when you order by default - they are "double" - you can order the "single"........some will let you know when you order it is a double - some assume you know.

They are so good...........
