The Great Value pizza sauce is the lowest I have found, and does not contain HFCS!! If a craving hits me and there isn't time to make a mock pizza,I just warm up a bit of the pizza sauce and use it a a dip for pepperoni slices and string cheese. My kids also love doing this for an after school snack.

I like the great value brand too. I buy wheat low carb tortillas and top them with a small amount of the pizza sauce, lots of fresh veggies, pepperoni and mozzarella. I bake it in my toaster oven. (cusinart has an amazing one with convection baking too) The pizza is amazing. It feels right too because you can pick it up in your hands.
Love a lot of the other pizza's without crust but this really gives you the whole deal, something about being able to pick it up to eat it. |

I often use Flat Out Wraps or Joseph's lowcarb pitas to make pizza. I put whichever I'm using in a skillet and brown it a little on low heat to make it crisper, then add sauce and toppings and keep cooking until the cheese is melted. I tried using a skillet one day when it was too hot to use the oven. I found I liked it that way because the bottom crisped up better than in the oven.

Yoshi is a Nintendo character. He's the green dinosaur-looking thing I use as my Avatar. I fell in love with Yoshi when Nintendo launched him in his own game several years ago. Whenever my son and I play any video games that feature the Mario Brothers and Yoshi (like Mario Kart or Golf), I get to be Yoshi. I have stuffed Yoshis of all sizes, a bobble-head Yoshi and a Yoshi keychain. My son has drawn several pictures of Yoshi for me, which are framed and displayed in my home. I'm definitely a Yoshi fanatic. He is sooooo cute and adorable!

Go to costco and get 2 slices of pepperoni pizza--(cheap). Eat off all the cheese and pepperoni and pitch the crust. Repeat until craving is gone. Max you could possibly spend is $8 and this never ceases to fix my pizza longing.

From Blaine's Low Carb Kitchen... here is a flat bread that could be used as a pizza crust:
Flatbread: 1 1/4 cups soy flour-sifted 1/2 tbsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. onion powder 1 cup warm water 1/4 cup olive oil Flatbread Preparation: Add baking powder, salt, onion powder and sifted soy flour in mixer with dough attachment. Mix on low 3-4 minutes. Drizzle in warm water until mixture is sticky. Scrape dough out of mixing bowl with rubber spatula and with well soy floured fingers roll dough into ball on countertop (do not knead bread). Pinch off balls of dough the size of a 50-cent piece (remember keep fingers floured) Form into 4-inch diameter rounds and fry in olive oil in cast iron pan over medium heat. Serve warm or room temperature within 1 hour. Dough will keep in refrigerator for up to one week Yield 8 slices (3 - 4 inches in diameter) - approx. 2 - 3 net carbs per slice I've not tried it yet, but I plan to make this flatbread and top it with low carb pizza toppings as soon as I get off induction! I take a small non-stick skillet and put in the cheese (2 slices of mozzarella, sliced about 1/8" thick each) and let it melt on med-high heat. I sprinkle the top with garlic powder and throw a couple of pepperoni and mushrooms on it then let it melt and bubble till the sides have turned crusty brown and deep golden. The top is still gooey. I don't turn it, just let it brown on the bottom and melt on the top. (btw, this makes a great platform for a fried egg and bacon "wrap" or lunch wraps of all kinds. Use cheddar cheese and makes an awesome "crispy/chewey" taco shell hybrid for those days when you want something in between a crispy shell and a wrap. Then I take it out of the skillet and add a shmear of pizza sauce (the best kind is making your own. It's so simple: a can of whole tomatoes, 4 cloves garlic, a handful of basil from the garden and olive oil. Break up tomatoes with a spoon and let heat for about 5-10 minutes on low simmer. Then press everything through a coarse strainer or food mill. Return to pan and cook till thickened but don't boil, low simmer only. Season with salt and pepper.) It's low carb. Will keep for a week (or freezes in small baggies great). And doesn't have any hfcs or other crap that prepared sauces have in it!

I made it again last night. Hubby would have scarfed the whole pan if I hadn't taken some out and froze it in lunch-sized containers.

You can make a crustless pizza. Buy a large firm tomato, cut it into 4 thick slices, and arrange in a baking dish. Top each with italian seasonings, mushrooms, green pepper, onions, mozarella cheese, and meat if desired. Whatever toppings you like. Then cook these at 350 until cheese is nice and bubbly. Makes 4 little 'pizzas'. You get all the great taste without the crust, and using whole tomatoes instead of sauce helps cut the sugar.
