I am going to wean her off the formula and start her on goat's milk to complement her solid foods, and add a few more solids (no grains/gluten except the rice crackers which she just sucks all the cheese off of anyway LOL).

In the meantime, Jenna says THANKS FOLKS, and can I please have another?

She is ADORABLE!?!?!?! I want one!!!!

Now she is eating an organic rice cracker loaded with cream cheese and sprinkled with nutritional yeast flakes.

OMG, she is going to be a SUPERHUMAN!!! LOL

BTW, if anyone doubts the greatness of CLO, she is 10.5 months and says:

Mom
Dad
Hi Mom
Hi Dad
Up Mom
All Done
More
Nigh-Nigh (night)
Han-nah (big sister)
and she meows.

this is not normal folks LOL
oh my!
It has in fact been said that CLO will raise a babys IQ.

I can't get over what a carbon copy she is of you!

Ok she's an absolute doll! I love her!

As for the formula...if she's getting a rash nix the organic formula until you can find one that agrees with her.

Well, she sounds like she is getting everything from her diet- I don't see why even continue the formula!! If you're worried about the few nutrients she's not getting you can make her a smoothie or juice.

I have a juicer and have raw juices and add spinach, beets, etc and they drink that along with water during the day. Sometimes I'll make them a yogurt smoothie.

I'm fortunate like you though- my kids eat pretty much whatever I make. My kids don't eat sweets and don't like sweets because they don't get it. We went to a party recently and my MIL insisted on giving my daughter a cupcake. I didn't continue to argue because I knew what would happen. Riley took one little taste and said "yucky" and threw it back! I was so proud of my baby- she knows what's good for her!

I've seen other mother comment on how well my kids eat- and wonder how they can get their kids to eat better. Well, who gave them the chicken nuggets? They didn't cook them themselves!

My son will eat everything- even lima beans, lol. What two year old eats lima beans?

Anyway, I'm off on a tangent!! I think you can skip the formula- sounds like she's onto something better!!

Wow she is beautiful and she eats better than 99% of people!!! You are such a great mommy for giving her a good start!!! When my son was a baby he could only tolerate a soy based formula cant remember what brand... I think the rash is no joke..but not sure what to tell you.

the milk thing is another dilemma I need to address soon.

Right now she eats (besides 32oz of formula/day)

breakfast: steak chunks (or chicken or pork) and a few blueberries,

lunch: organic rice crackers with cream cheese, balkan style yogurt and maybe some gluten/nitrate free ham.

dinner: whatever we have, usually more steak (sometimes a rib bone or steak bone to gnaw on), a veggie and blueberries for dessert

she does water so far

I would like to find organic milk, but it is also a 2 hour drive that I only do every couple of months.

I am trying this 'baby led weaning' and have been doing so since 6 months. She eats only whole foods and feeds herself (except the yogurt). This way she stops when she is full, and has surpassed any other 10 month old I know in the chewing dept (with no teeth!) She also gets a probiotic, cod liver oil and coconut oil every day.

I was never a fan of giving my kids milk.. but my other 2 did at one year.. but never more than a cup or 2 a day.

Online shopping is not an option for stuff like that in Canada.. but I am going to do more research and find what I can. This is really frustrating. Thanks for replying Dorian.
