bacon and 3 egg omlet with cheese

My breakfast this morning, as it has been every morning for a while, was 3 slices of bacon, 3 eggs fried in bacon fat, and 2 handfuls of spinach wilted in bacon fat. This keeps me full from 8:30am until around 2-2:30pm.

Omelette! Mine this morning was three big eggs, scrambled with creamy soft cheese mixed in and a big chunky sausage. Been having some variation on this all week and it's really been setting me up for the day.

Egg Cream not my thing.

I feel your pain. If I miss breakfast, it throws off my entire day.

How do you make your egg creams?

I find that I cant "drink" my breakfast. Not satisfying and I find myself going to get something to "eat" after anyhow.

I make coffee and then put it in the freezer to cool. Once it is cooled I blend 3 eggs, 1/4 cup heavy cream and whatever flavor davinci's syrups that I feel like using. Then I add the coffee and some ice cubes. I always thought breakfast shakes weren't enough - like the prepackaged ones, but with 3 eggs it really does it for me.

Aren't bacon-fat-fried eggs awesome? I prefer mine fried, retaining the liquid yolk. But they are pretty good scrambled, too. And the scrambled eggs soak up every bit of bacon fat in the pan. So delicious.

This is how Ive always cooked mine ( as long as bacon was the meat that day). Its the bomb! I like mine fried with about 1/2 the yolk .. maybe a little less. If I had toast... I poach mine over medium. But I like them just fine fried over medium too!

bacon bacon.

haha... reminds me of the commercial for a doggy snack. Where the dog runs around going " bacon bacon" .. bacon bacon".

Whats up with me and tv references this morning? LOL

That omelet sounds good. I ate just some bacon for breakfast cause when I went to get my eggs there were none. :-(

I'd save the caramel chocolate eggcream as a nighttime dessert treat!

g8rchic, I miss soaking up the yolk with some toast, too. I sometimes toast up a Joseph's pita pocket for that. But lately, I just put my fried eggs on a bed of bacon-fat wilted baby spinach, and just mash them up into that. It's very tasty.

you probably could use eggbeater but they are only whites, right? I think the yolk is the more filling part? I really am not sure...

Yeah my pup got a piece of real bacon this morning. Lets say she was ecstatic!!

Just be careful with the bacon for your doggy. From what I've read, raw it's perfectly fine. But rendered fat can cause pancreatitis.

My favorite way of cooking eggs growing up .. Iused to cook them every weekend for my dad and its how he liked them.. he hates his eggs with any of the brown or burnt edges.

Put pam or butter in a frying pan and get it hot, add the eggs. Once they set up you just add in a couple T of water and cover with a lid. My lids were clear so I could see the yolk cooking and got to where I could tell when they were done " medium". Then they slide right out of the pan and NO STICKING or flipping!
Works like a charm every time.

yes.. I live in Vegas now! I have lived here almost 2 years. I moved here from hawaii (kauai) where I grew up. I know.. I know.. people say " WTH .. why would you do that" but I really needed a change and the island was just so boring. I wanted a new adventure.. and I got it! LOL
We like it. Always doing something.
Like .. there is a lake " Monte Lago". They have all kinds events there.
Next week : Friday night movie by the lake and Saturday is Jazz by the lakes.. KennyG will perform.
The following is " Vino Di Lago" wine by the lake. Jazz and wine tasting ..20 different wines.. for $25 bucks.
Not to mention all the other stuff. I just said in another thread that the Steve Miller band is here tomorrow w/ Joe Cocker and tix start at $45 bucks. I would love to go see that!

I'm no expert, but from what I've read, yes. I'm sure others can address this better. But from what I've read, any rendered fat is bad for your dog. My grandfather used to "sweeten" the dry dog food with rendered bacon fat or beef fat. All his dogs were sickly. But raw fat is fine for them.
