Looking for a FAB whey protein powder that won't break the bank?

CHAMPION NUTRITION COOKIES N CREAM Pure Whey Protein Stack!!!!!!!!!!!!
My new favorite.

My original fave was Jay Robb. But I was going thru it too fast and the price was too high for that.

I then tried PVL Whey Gourmet chocolate peanut butter, 2 lb for around $27. Delish, became a new favorite.

Well Char suggested Champion Nutrition brand and OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got cookies n cream flavor. FIVE POUNDS FOR $35! The taste is INCREDIBLE. And the price is RIGHT. I cant wait to try more of their flavors-- Char likes Banana Scream (cant wait to try that).

This stuff is SO good. Eating it now in my yogurt.

Glad you like it, AllieCat! That Banana Scream is SO good I've not tried any of their other flavors. The shake I make with it (along with cocoa powder and natural PB) makes the BEST Chocolate/Banana/PB milkshake you ever set your lips to smackin'!

rats! it contains acesulfame (K) potassium and sucralose.
guess i will have to stick with JR's stevia sweetened for now.

Contains milk derived products. Produced in a facility that processes milk, egg, and crustacean shellfish derivatives. In Addition: Pure Whey also contains excellent amounts of the non-essential amino acids.

Ingredients: Mirco-filtered and ion-exchanged whey protein concentrate and isolate, whey peptides, natural and artificial flavoring, xanthan gum, salt, sucralose, acesulfame potassium, carrageenan, yellow #5.

I can't wait to try banana scream. I was on vaca last week and every day we went to this organic hormone free hippie type restaurant for brunch. Every day I had a banana coconut smoothie (no sugar added) and it didn't bloat me up! So I am feening for a banana smoothie since then.

Before I tried Jay Robb, Champion Whey was my absolute favorite.

The Banana Scream is unbelievably awesome, as is Cookies and Cream.

I'm headed back to my all time faves!!! I still have some C&C left from my last batch and alternate it daily with Jay Robb, cause his stuff was just too expensive to use every day.

I also buy online and get 5 lbs. for $35.00---Banana Scream for some reason, has always been a few dollars more, but that's OK!!

does it come in anything smaller than 5 lbs. I'd love to try this but don't want to commit to 5 pounds if I don't like it and have wasted $35 + s&h....

EDIT: okay I found a 2.2 pound one but it's $27.50....not much cheaper, do they make individual packets so you can try it out? I haven't found anything like that in my internet search yet....

Try emailing Champion Nutrition directly and see if they'll send you a sample - I read someplace else that someone did just that. Heck even if they CHARGE a couple bucks for a sample it's worth it to try it out!
