I remember the day I first realized you were in my life. I knew my clothes didn't fit, I knew the floor creaked when I walked more than it had in the past, I knew it was bad, I just didn't know HOW bad. I stepped on the scale and it said 167.6.

WTH??!!! No WAY!!! No offense, I'm sure you are a nice range and all for some folks but for me that was OUTRAGEOUS and embarrassing.

Gotta get serious about the carbs. Seriously, I have come to the conclusion that sugar and white foods are just flat out toxic to me. I forgot how GOOD I feel when I don't eat them and how cruddy and out of it I feel when that's all I eat. So 160's, today we part company and I hope you aren't offended when I say that I hope it is permenant. My first 'mini-goal' was to get away from you, now my next one is to get out of the 150's. And on and on it goes....

In the meantime.. I once again have that evil visitor called 174. 174 has been around before... and I still remember the first time it came, I spent thousands of dollars at Jenny Craig (1-800-95-JENNY) to get rid of it back then... but I had no idea how to keep it away away after it left (and oh-how-brief-that-was), and they also failed to tell me about all the FRIENDS it would bring along when it did come back.

So now I greet 174 again, it glares at me because I already kicked it's 36 extra friends it brought along, and it appears to be hanging on for dear life. Occasionally I will see it snuck a few friends in over night, but they do not stick around for long.. I am vengeful this time and well trained.

So, Dear 174, it was great knowing you... the first, second, third and now the fourth and final time. You did bring me joy amongst the pain... I have 3 beautiful children and a wealth of knowledge in my head that you helped to create. If it were not for you I would not have met this wonderful and inspiring group of friends here at LCF and started again this fabulous journey that is better than before.

I thank you 174, and wish you the best of luck... but for now I have to start thinking about the letter I am going to write to the 160's. I want them to come, but I really do not want them to stick around for as long as they did LAST time. I will be putting my foot down, and I thank you 174 for giving me the motivation and tools to do so.

You were an unwanted guest when you showed up many years ago. I kept lying to myself, telling myself that you weren't going to stay for too long. It turns out that you felt the need to way overstay your welcome. Good riddance to you, and never ever darken my doorstep again!
P.S. When you get adopted by one the nice people here on this board, explain to them that you have learned your lesson and you promise not to stay even one day longer than you are welcome there.
