Coconut oil side effects.. what is normal?

I have one teaspoon in my coffee every morning.
Immediately after, I become extremely hot and sweaty.
It feels like it is 100 degrees in the house!
This lasts for about an hour, then I "go" alot!
Not normal stools, but the very loose kind, ya know?
I do not have an upset stomach or cramping.
Is this normal, or a sign of allergy??

I think that sounds like a normal situation for alot of people..
the hot flashes.. they say it's helping your metabolism.

I think if you can take it you should. I can't.. wish I could!

Thanks! I like the idea of revving my metabolism.
Not to mention the lack of constipation .

I would guess a stuffy nose indicates a cold.

I've had a lot of excess energy so far, but it's only my 2nd day. I was hot all last night after CO during the day. dunno if they're related or not.

no bathroom issues yet

I also seem to be more hungry, not less. weird.

The hot flashes are the result of your metabolism getting fired up. It means it is working.

I definitely heat up after I have my CO. I have a tablespoon in each of my 2 cups of coffee in the morning. Shortly afterwards, I get very warm. It still throws me off a bit, even after all this time. Today I went to check the thermostat to make sure the AC was working.

I am trying to incorporate another tablespoon in an afternoon egg creme, especially on the days I am at the gym in the later afternoon instead of my usual morning workouts.

I think you are just fine. As for the loose stools, mine generally are as well, but I am not sure if it is just the CO or a combo of my high water intake, exercise and CO.

Amy

Glad to know it is normal.
But does it subside as you become accustomed to taking it?

I still get hot and I've been ingesting CO for a couple of months now. I run a little hot anyways, IYKWIM, so I don't know if it just affects me more or not. I don't mind it really. I am looking forward to it this winter when I have the house "cold enough to hang meat" according to my hubby. I figure I'll save even more money on my heating bill this year!!

I've only been ingesting CO for a couple of days, but I have the same problem with the hot flashes! It never occurred to me that it was the CO until reading this.

Must've missed something

I know CO is good for you, but can someone tell me why we need to ingest it every day? I mean, does it kick the metabolism up a notch, or help with ingestion, or what?

TIA!

Yes it is supposed to rev your metabolism and also increase energy and decrease appetite.

If the flashes and loose stools continue for more than a few days, this is a sign that you overeating fat. Nausea is another sign.

Upon increasiing fat (animal) intake, I had hot flashes but this subsided.

I think I'm feeling (day 3 on CO) the appetite suppression today. Completely don't feel like having my breakfast like I normally do.
