Well, obviously I left out the milk and cheese....but this is how I did it.
Brown 1 pound of ground beef; drain and set aside Sorry no specific measurements, I'm italian and just throw stuff together LOL . You can google this and get a ton of recipes!About 2 tablespoons sesame oil Brown 1/2 onion until soft add a few cloves of garlic soy sauce (I used tamari) about 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar 2 packets splenda crushed red pepper flakes sesame seeds toss in 1 package of angel hair slaw mix until it cooks down a little and is coated, then add the ground beef back in until all heated through. So so so so good! My kids even ate this- and DH loved it! Yum yum yum. I actually served it over dreamfield's spaghetti (noodles to go with the asian kinda theme). The taste is great- spicy and a little sweet and reminded me of the lettuce wraps at PF Chang's Last edited by DorianH; 07-29-2008 at 08:59 AM.. |

Use the search tool above. . .there's like 15 threads with Crackslaw in the title. Here's one to get you started:
http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/be...crackslaw.html Yes, it uses broccoli slaw (which is basically coleslaw mix with some shredded broccoli stalks added.) Sometimes I get rainbow salad too, which is broccoli slaw with shredded cauli stalks added. Yeah, it's called crackslaw because it's so addictive! Just like Heroin Wings are!! |

By far an even greater way to make crack slaw is to use the leftovers to make egg foo young patties and fry them in some olive oil or bacon grease till brown and crispy on the outside. Serve it with a sauce:
1 part chicken broth 1/2 part dry sherry 1/2 part rice wine vinegar 1/2 part fermented soy sauce 1/2 part water 1 tbsp grated ginger 1 clove garlic minced 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes 1/4 cup green onions, chopped xanthan gum to thicken into sauce consistency. It's awesome. |

I only discovered crack slaw a few months ago and it's become one of our favorite dishes. I even use 1 lb of ground beef and 2 to 3 pkgs of the broccoli slaw to make it as a side dish. So yummy.

I made this last night for the first time and I loved it! I had planned to only eat one small bowl, but ended up eating three. I'd definitely make this one again, it takes care of a chinese food craving very nicely. Next time I might try it with some pork or shrimp. Mmmmm!

Oooh, I'm jealous! I've been trying to justify making it again today after I go grocery shopping. Shrimp is on my list. Should I? Hmmm...
