Hello I'm new here....

Just wanted to say hello I found this board a few weeks back and registered, but never posted. (so if this is in the wrong place, please move, I'll try to do better next time)

I have been doing Medi weightloss since Feb. 26, 2008. I have lost 58 lbs, with 32 lbs to get where I want to be. For the last 4 weeks, my hair has been falling out by the handfull and I haven't lost any weight. The dr put me on Biatin and for the last two weeks I have had to up my calories b/c he said my body was in a "starvation mode". All my blood work came back normal. I guess i'm just worried about my hair and I feel so guilty about eating 1,500 calories a day. Has anyone else expierenced this?

I think your husband is on to something here. Ground beef has higher fat and higher calories. Atkins is a higher fat way of eating (like 65% of your daily calories should be from fat) so it makes sense that you lose on ground beef not chicken. Your husband is also onto something with the fact that you are NOT eating enough. YOu should be eating at least 1800 calories a day... seriously!

I know there was just a thread about hair loss on here.

Mine's not been falling out in clumps, but when I comb it, there definately is more of it coming out. I chalk it up to fewer calories too.
