Owwwww, my aching head!
I'm doing induction after having been LC absent for a good long time. My head is KILLING me and my stomach is rolling. I don't remember this from the first time I did induction, just tired and body aches, so now I'm wondering if maybe I ate something icky or am getting sick. Does that sound induction familiar?

I've had the headache before, the body aches and tired feeling- usually gone by day 3 or 4. The stomach rolling thing tells me maybe you have something else going on- what day of induction are you on?
Hope you feel better! |

I had the headache the first couple of days in induction.
This is only my 9th day and I'm totally exhausted!! I think I had two days out of the 9 that I wasn't tired. Some say I'm not eating enough, but all I do is eat!! It'll pass though. Usually after a week or so, I have so much energy, but this time around I seem to always be tired and I do get enough sleep! I'm being optimistic!! |

Day 6 of 20 carb induction. I hadn't thought of the headache being a caffiene thing (duh). I've gone from a pot a day w/sugar and creamer to an 18 oz. cup w/a pack of splenda and a dash of 1/2 & 1/2. I remember feeling like I could leap tall buildings when I was doing LC before, now I feel like the building fell on me. Maybe I'll take off a little early so I can go home and flop on the couch.

Yesterday I had one of the worst headaches in my life. And I was moody as heck. Not sure what caused it. And I'm currently on my "higher carb" week, which means a mix of 40g, 60g, and 80g a day.

I ONLY get headaches when I need caffeine.
Either ride it out or maybe wean yourself off more slowly. Personally i chose to NOT give it up. I shudder to imagine what would happen to my life sans caffeine. |

Agree about weaning off caffeinne more slowly. Look into the flavored teas, maybe (there are some Lipton varieties that are very tasty, and much lower caffeine than coffee. I found them very helpful in cutting back slowly, as well as giving me a little dose to offset the caffeine-withdrawal headaches.
I also found that it helped to take a good multi-vitamin, with minerals...especially potassium...while on induction. I get that really wiped out feeling when I forget my vitamins for a few days. |

Tennessee..
I just wanted to let you know I am posting about severe headaches also.. mine are from lack of minerals I am sure.. although I have been LCing much longer than you.. I do know that on early induction I lose LOTS of minerals and have a problem with electrolyte imbalance. I (when I can remember!) take lots of minerals and also something called "electrolyte stamina".. it really helps when I can remember to take it.. at the VERY least add more potassium and mag.. good luck and hope you feel much better very soon. |
