Easy Egg Creams

I know i have posted about egg creams before but i need a SIMPLE (but good) recipe to try them for the first time. After hear so many good things and being on induction for 4 weeks, I think I am ready. I am so sick of scrambled, fried, or any other form of eggs (except deviled, I could eat those all day). So, I have these things at home to make them:
-Heavy Whipping Cream
- eggs obviously
- coffee
- some stevia
- splenda
- vanilla
- and ice

I know some of those ingedients will work but I don't know which ones or how much of each. Can someone help a lady with her first egg cream??

2-3 eggs
1/2 cup cold coffee (or more if you want it to be a stronger coffee flavor)
1/4 cup hwc
1/2 tsp Splenda
1/2 tsp vanilla
2-3 ice cubes

Try that and taste test it. . .add more of any of the ingredients if you think it's missing something.

Happy egg-creaming!

Oh, what would the nutritional content be in something like that. Just so that I can add it into fitday.

I would add in all ingredients separately into fitday:

"2 large eggs, raw
.25 cup heavy cream"

etc. . .

but 2 eggs are about 150 cal, 10 fat, 1 carb, 12 protein, hwc is about 200 cal, 22 fat, 2 carb, 1 protein, just to get you started. . .

This is the most wonderful filling "drink" meal LOL!! To me it's just a thick creamy coffee drink, but it'll keep you full for hours and it's full of protein. I've been drinking these faithfully for breakfast and sometimes for a snack every day for over 2 weeks and I'm steadily losing weight. Try them, they rock!!

P.S. You'd never know there's egg in it once it's blended.

Using the recipe above (I eat them every singe day for breakfast it is the ONLY thing I can eat)

They taste exactly like Tim Horton's Cappuccino's if you make them strong enough with coffee.

If you have never HAD a Timmie's Ice Cap, let me tell you that I know of several people who are addicted and will spend a lot of money to ingest that much sugar! (33 carbs in a SMALL! and they have now come out with a chocolate brownie supreme ice capp that has 75 grams of carbs for a small!!.. )

Start with the amount of sweetener you would normally use in your cup of coffee and go from there!

If you have some davinci's syrup you can try different flavors, I think a coffee mocha would be yummy if you have chocolate.

I use about 8 regular cube sized frozen coffee cubes and keep a bag full of them in my freezer for when my addicted friends come over, they LOVE them!

Well, mine was a bit watered down because I added too many ice cubes but it is alot like an iced coffee. I was too grossed out by the raw egg to try it before now but got desperate. I will probably play with the recipe but I like it! And I never thought I would!

I found using ice cubes made it too watery so i started freezing leftover coffee and it is SO much better

2-3 raw whole eggs
1-2 Tablesppons of heavy cream (or) almon breeze sugarfree 1/4th-1/2 cup (or) a few tablespoons coconut milk.
Sweetner to taste (I personally use 2)

now to this you can add coffee, tea, frozen fruit with water, ice cubes, coffee cubes, matcha powder (green tea powder), sugar free syrups, diet soda, coconut oil, protein powder.. you can really play with the basic recepie alot! you never get sick of them..

word to the wise:

watch the protein powder! ONLY BECAUSE I got silly one day and added a scoop of chocolate to my egg cream, not thinking I was adding 29 grams of protein to my already 18 grams in the eggs!

47 grams of protein is more than HALF of my daily intake, and it made me blood sugary and crazy after about 2-3 hours (not hungry but I felt the need to eat carbs).

So many variables though, Hubby could easily do that and be fine... it depends on your lean body mass, energy expenditure and insulin tolerance.

Play around with it.. I went from 3 eggs to 2 eggs because I was not hungry for 5-6 hours, and then too low in calories for the day at the end of it.

I would start out with the basics and then add stuff if you feel you need more the next day!

I agree, I personally dont add the protein powder, but I do know alot of people do so I dont knock it.
Personally I think adding pp to the already great mix just makes it way to protein/calorie dense for just a meal replacement? I try to keep my eggcreams under 600 calories..

yes!

If my hubby ate them I would use 2 eggs and one scoop of PP...

It is very much a YMWV sort of thing, so that i why I suggest the basics and then working up to more if you find you are hungry within 2-3 hours of eating it.

I find it is no harder to get down 3 eggs than 2, so this is great because it is not like I am feeling like i am eating LESS food, or that there is less food on my plate. They just taste great

I always add protein powder to my egg creams and never thought about the protein being too high. Hmmm....

I generally do 2 egg yolks, 1 scoop whey protein powder, about a cup of vanilla or chocolate unsweetened almond milk, 1tsp of psyllium husks and a tablespoon or two of coconut milk. Here's the breakdown - is this too much protein? How would I know?

Cals 536
Fat 42g
Cholest 481mg
Sodium 269mg
Carbs 9g
Sugars 1g
Fiber 5g
Protein 29g

Edited to add that there is 22 grams of protein in the protein powder, 6 grams in the two egg yolks and 1 in the almond milk. Is this too much protein for one meal? It does keep me full for hours and I don't seem to have any kind of high or low after it.

ITA with the others on the protein powder. Now for hubby who drinks these daily too before going to the gym I do one egg and 3 scoops of the powder he uses. I don't think I could drink it with PP as just the 2 eggs I use in mine is super filling.

I have egg creams every morning for breakfast and I love them. I don't put coffee in mine. Here is the one I usually make:

2 fl. oz of almond breeze (unsweetened)
1 tbsp. extra virgin coconut oil
1 tsp. coconut cream from tropical traditions
2 whole eggs raw
1 or 2 tbsp. of organic cream cheese

Whip it up and drink and enjoy. I sometimes add fruits or even avocado.

It looks fine to me but really depends on your Protein requirements for the day, your other Protein sources and your Exercise routine.

Personally, I add 1 scoop PP to my 3-egg EC because it helps me fufill my calorie & protein requirement for the day. I shoot for over 100 grams of Protein per day because I want to retain lean body mass while I lose fat.

While I was ill a few years ago, I lost a lot of weight and lost a lot of lean body mass (muscle) and that is why I'm fat now. Don't ever want to go there again!

Thanks for the recipe!
