Winter loser vs Summer Loser

I find that I do so much better staying on track and losing weight From about September until Spring.

I get up every morning and exercise, I eat better, I have less things going on.

I am currently 10 lbs heavier than I was the first day of spring. I figured it would be easier to loose in the summer, more outside activities.

Does anyone else find it easier to keep to the program in the winter vs summer?

I'm the exact opposite. I gain in the winter and lose in the summer. It's so much easier to be out and about when it's warm outside. In the winter all I want to do is eat and hibernate. I'm usually 10 pounds heavier in the winter then in the summer.

OH BOY

It is sooooooooo much easier to lose the weight from September to April. The pool is closed , less parties BBQ's, drinks, vacations etc. Come Sept 2nd I know that I will lose more weight from then to Dec 1st than I am now.

I also find I eat more variety once we use the oven again and I have more time to cook and try things out.

I totally agree. I always find it easier to lose in the winter. To many things going on in the summer to side line me. And to many temptations to over eat that are fresh in the garden. Fresh sweet corn is about @42g of carbs....yikes! And fresh from the vine tomatoes I can only that I do not scarf down the entire bowl of cherry tomatoes. That is truely better than any candy dish!

I HATE!!! the heat. It just drains my energy. July and August are the worst.
But once that first cool fall day comes around I feel like I can breath again. That when i get motivated.

I always gain in the Winter. I think it might have something to do with vitamin D levels in my case.

I LOVE winter, but all of the studies that I've read talk about the number of pounds that the average American puts on between October and February....

I lose in the warmer weather, and maintain in the winter.

I can keep my routine in the winter better than the summer.... NO parties, Less stress....

Even durning the holidays I loose.... I don't bake a bunch of junk, so there fore we just don't eat a bunch of junk.

I really wanted to hit my goal weight this year before my big 40th, but I will be there by next summer.

I eat more in the winter so I lose more.

Summer heat makes me not hungry and/or too busy to eat enough.

must be the climate here

I hang on to the lbs come October, will lose again come May. It's so blasted cold here or at least 6 months, the body wants the insulation.
