breast reduction and weight loss

How much weight do you lose in your breasts? Should I wait to have the breast reduction until I lose more weight ?

Hi!

It depends on how dense your breast tissue is; some people actually lose very little in size when they reduce their weight. Others with "fattier" breasts actually lose alot. With my reduction I went from a 38DD to a 38B without losing weight. After a 40lb. weight loss I'm now a 36C...basically the same size. . I just look "different".

I was a D cup but am now a C. I still have a long way to go on my weight loss but I hope not to lose anymore in my breast.

Similar story here too. Most often, breast fat really goes away and you're left with sagging.

I would wait, but in the meantime you could probably get a consult with a plastic surgeon.

The other benefit of waiting until you're at your personal smaller size, is that if you do need a lift or implants, the doctor would be better able to match the size of them to your new size. Most people want a nice proportional look, at least I did. People do not know that I even had anything done.

Thank you all for your great advice. I think I'll wait until I lose more.
