I have two in my yard right now--they're tropical, so moist and hot is how they like it. Muddle the leaves with mint--makes the best sugar free mint julep out there. Mojitos are also an option.
Agreed with the poster above--put them in tea (rooibos is nice) if you don't like a little booze every now and again. I've been thinking about lc mint chip ice cream, with the stevia leaf as an infusion with the mint, also. |

I grow stevia. I have to take them indoors in the winter, but they grow like a weed once the snow clears.
Some plants are better (sweeter) than others, so I grow clippings from the good plants. I don't use much sweetener, so I'm growing much more than I need. I have several big plants right now which should make about a pound of crushed leaves. And it's not even high summer yet. Processed Stevia is much sweeter per gram, but the powder from leaves is more convenient to handle. Last edited by Questions : 07-10-2008 at 12:07 PM. |

I've searched a million times and never found the plant. Just about every garden store, walmart etc... I did find the seeds at target and they have never sprouted.
![]() I would use it and grow it if I could FIND it. |

I ordered mine over the internet. Came in three days. I won't post the link, but it was the first one in my google search. There's bound to be one closer to your location.

I havn't been on here for a while, been trying to move into my new house, and finally got the internet up and running!
Lickrish: I found my stevia plant at Home Depot. They had a great sale on plants and herbs, and there still is a great one now (been there a lot trying to fix up the new house). You also might try Sutherlands, if you have one around where you live. But my plant is really growing! I've been using it in tea and it is really good. But I love my sweetness! |
