Leave it to Cleo!

"With Jerry Mathers as the Cleo..."

This thread has really hit me... Not only was I the lady with the awful cart - I still someties AM the lady with the awful cart. The person who mentioned that we are all in different spots is spot-on. My shoes are hard ones to wear, and I am still trying to get where I need to be. Sensitive as I am right now, I don't read as much as I used to. I KNOW what I need to do... Now I just need to DO IT! Good luck and low-carbiness to everyone!

I could care less what other people think of me , especially in a grocery store. Life is too short for that stuff

Here's what I think when I see all the "crap" in someone else's cart...Lucky person! I wish I could eat all that stuff.

It tastes good.

If only my metabolism would agree...

As someone who knew people from India, I was offended at the misnomer the other direction!

There has been some fab advice in this thread. I hope we can have fun and not judge anyone. I for one need to focus on my own health and not be judging any obese person I see. Happy weekend everyone!

I sooooo agree with you!!! I was being tongue-in-cheek to Betty cuz I got in trouble on another thread for using the "walking a mile in someone else's moccasins" and attributing the saying to "an old Indian saying" that my parents taught me growing up. I apparently offended someone unintentionally. So the reality is you're damned if you do and damned if you don't! As I said my Denny is part Cherokee so I most especially, I would not do or say anything to intentionally hurt him or his culture.

Thanks for your imput!!!!

I will admit freely that I do fall into judgment mode. There is already so much mis-information out there about all of the LC plans, that allowing someone who never really TRIED the plan to get away with saying, "It didn't work", when 50% of what they ate was NOT on plan, that is balderdash! They can't say whether or not it worked if they never gave it a legitimate trial.

Yeah, I knew someone on a diet franchise diet who was given Wasa crackers to eat. (Low fat 1980's) She HATED them, but she needed the fiber, so she HAD to eat them. Those of us at work asked her if she'd asked her "counselor" if there was something she could substitute for it. She said no, but she had to eat what was in her boxes, and nothing but that, but she added about an ounce of cream cheese, and 1 TBS of jam to each one to choke them down. When we asked her if the cream cheese and jam were from her plan, she said no, and asked us not to tell her counselor! That was just throwing money away hand over fist. I may not have liked the approach of that diet company, but did my co-worker give it an honest try? NO! So, I have no right, from that trial to say that the diet from that franchise was not effective. (Co-worked GAINED weight...)
