I love Fitday!

Let me start by saying that I am a proponent of daily weighing (for myself). It helps me because as long as I am tracking what I eat (which I do, religiously) I can very easily look at my weight on a day-to-day basis and pinpoint any causes of weight-gain or stall. It helps me to stay motivated and be able to tweak my plan for optimum results.

For example: I have been getting a little bit frustrated because I haven't lost anything in about a week. So, I went to Fitday, and found that it was probably the glass of white wine that I had on 6/28 that caused me to gain about 6 lbs. I have been working on dropping that 6 lbs ever since. So while my TOTAL body weight hasn't gone down, I AM back to where I started before the wine incident. Because the overall number didn't go down, it was hard for me to realize that I had actually lost anything. Now I realize that I did, but it was just enough to get over a small set-back. And now I know that I should avoid wine, and I look forward to another successful week!

I love Fitday, too! I use the PC version... much easier, and well worth the $20.

I was thinking about checking out the PC version...what are the benefits/differences?

I love Fitday, too, because of the weight graphs. I need to be able to see where I've been and where I'm going. And like you said, even if you gain a bit, you can see that you're still on a downward trend which is so inspiring. Oh, and I like the little projection that tells you where you'll be in 4 wks. and 12 wks. if you continue in the same way!

I also find that I do much better on my eating if I'm entering things into Fitday. In the past I've tried writing down what I eat, but I couldn't keep it up. I'd forget. With Fitday, though, I can't wait to go put in my food and see how many carbs, etc. It's fun!

I agree! I didn't like it too much at first because some of their nutrition info seems to be a little off . . . but I took some time and entered a ton of custom foods, so it's working great for me now MUCH easier (and more fun) than keeping a paper food diary.

I only use the PC version.....love it, love it, love it.

I only used the online version for a little bit a few years ago, so I can't speak to the differences.

For me the advantage is that I'm on dial-up and now I don't have to wait forever to get online and then for each page to load. It's way easier to have it right on my computer. It was SO worth the price. That, of course, would be different for someone with 24-7 high speed access.

My 2 cents.

The only thing that keeps me from buying the PC version is that I don't think I would remember to enter everything when I got home. I have to do it when I think about it.

A-ha! I never would have thought of that! I'm home all day with the kiddos so don't need that extra versatility, but I can see why that would be so important.
