MAJOR LCF POSTER!

Would you still climb the carb ladder if you've lost inches but not pounds?
I was at 30 g of carbs last week and have been eating around 7 cups of raw veggies & 1 cup of cooked veggies per day along with my meat, eggs & olive oil. 3-4 times a week, I will have 1-2 oz of nuts & every once in awhile, I might have an oz or 2 of goats cheese (not daily or weekly). I think I definitely have enough veggies in my menu.
I've lost inches (which actually has been my main focus) this week but not pounds. I have been looking forward to adding in berries with it being berry season. What do you guys think-do you think-as long as I am losing inches-I should add in the berries 3x this next week and increase myself up to 35 g of carbs? And then see how I do-inches wise-when next Thursday comes and decide-from there-whether to start eating the berries on a daily basis-based on my results? Dyan

That is my focus 100% --- inches. I don't give a hoot what the scale says... I want to look good in my clothing...I want to feel good in my clothing...and most of all...I want to get off Blood Pressure Meds! So if the scale moves slowly but the inches fall off faster...YIPEE!!

yep you are still losing body fat if you are shedding inches and the only reason not to climb higher is if your lose stops and it hasn't.
If you are really worried about it you could do a modified OWL and swap out some of your already gotten carbs worth of veggies and/or nuts for those berries and not change you total carb count for the week and see what happenes. |

I asked this question a while back and was told to yes, absolutely keep moving up the carb ladder if you're losing inches but not pounds.
