One clove of raw garlic has .992 grams of carbohydrate. It tastes so good and has such wonderful physiological effects, that little bit of carb is worth it. I hope this helps.

Many cultures have long considered it an aphrodisiac. Also its a great natural blood thinner.

One clove is equal to approximately one teaspoon of garlic. Physiologically, garlic is a powerful immune system enhancer, (antibacterial/antiviral/antifungal) digestive aid (especially, if eaten with meat), and it helps lower high cholesterol. Most of the healing potential is only released when the garlic is chopped or crushed; your method seems ideal.

Garlic was once referred to as "Russias Penicillin" My naturopath currently prescribes it for the MURSA virus which antibiotics have not been touching very easily.
