What are you eating? Some people have a reaction to certain foods.

LC wraps/bread? Grains.

Unfortunately, for some of us, we just have to live with it. I would say to keep drinking a LOT of water. At the gym, were you doing exercise with your hands hanging down..like walking a treadmill or something? My feet swell easily if I'm in a certain position for a long time. I either have to put them up, or get my body moving around in order for them to go down.

If it's only in your hands maybe the previous poster was right-it was due to the exercise you were doing. Or maybe you touched something you are allergic to.

When you work out your body pulls the water and stores it in the muscles. Your body is already repairing while working out. Keep drinking water you'll flush it. This used to always happen to me at the gym.

I always have this problem......when I get back from my walk my hands are puffy and my rings won't come off. Maybe it's gravity and doing nothing with the hands while walking. I don't worry about it 'cause it goes away in an hour or two.

Yes, the heat always makes mine worse as well. It's not NEARLY as bad as it was 50 lbs. ago though. My mother takes a water pill every day. I've never taken one so I'm not sure on any advice about that.

can I suggest going to GNC and getting Big 100 Vitamin B complex. IT will act a lot like a diuretic without the depletion of the potassium. I take one every day in the morning...and pre Tom i take one at night.

Not if it's only your hands. I am on a prescription diuretic but I retain water all over not just one part of my body. If it keeps up call your doc.

Water pills can harm you more then good. They can deplete you of potassium. Check with a dr first before taking any duretic

And Dr. A has a few lines about the problems with diuretics and this diet.
It should be a natural diuretic, really.

It's normal to retain some water after working out.

That being said, I used to drink a gallon of water a day, and then if I went a day without drinking that much, my body would retain like crazy. It was almost like since my body was used to getting in so much water, it would freak out when it didn't.

After I had my daughter, I decided I wasn't going to be so strict with my water intake, and sure enough, since my body isn't used to having that much water anymore, I don't retain nearly as much as I used to when I have days where I workout alot or just don't drink that much. But that's me.

Taurine really works well with water retention. My medication causes me to retain water.

I just tried it today, got it at GNC - it was $5 for 100 capsules. I took it and all I did for the next 3 hours is run to the bathroom and pee, and I didn't drink that much! It's good stuff! I can hardly wait to weigh tomorrow.

Dr A recommended it in Vitanutrient Revolution. He said 1-5 grams a day.
