Can I ask a dumb question?

If I take biotin, does it just stop any further hair loss, or would it help my LOST hair grow back?

I've been experiencing hair loss due to having DD combined with low carb. I'm starting to get used to pulling out tons of hair in the shower, but it's sad, really!

I'm thinking from other threads on biotin that it will grow back. That was the way I read it. It can't hurt to try it, so I'm going to.

Depending on the cause of the loss, it will help grow it back. If it's stress or hormone related, you're likely to grow it back. If you have alopecia or genetic balding, not as likely.

I started taking biotin in high doses recently and my stylist noticed new growth.

How high, because I intake 6,000mg a day. I take a capsule of 5,000 and my multi vit. has 1,000 in it....

I am taking 3000mcg's per day. I double the dosage sometimes. I hear the higher the dosage, the better the results are. I also heard that Walmart sells a capsule with 5000mcg's. I'm trying to grow out my hair to its FULL potential I want long hair like pocohotas again (mispelled).

LOL!!!
