Ezekiel bread
I just wanted to encourage you guys if you havent tried it, if you're to that place in your plan to give it a whirl. It only has 11-12 carbs per slice and is very high quality sprouted grains, there is technically no flour in it at all as we know it. Sometimes i just want a piece of toast and this is a great choice.

Couldn't agree more! I keep it in the freezer at all times. This is just about the ONLY grains I ingest and only because they're sprouted first, not ground from their "seed" state.
I've really grown to love its dense yumminess! |

I like Ezekiel bread, too but don't like that it falls apart if you are trying to make a sandwich with it.
So I was very happy to find Silver Hills No Flour Sprouted Bread that was gluten-free! Taste as good and about as equal in carbs as the Ezekiel but doesn't fall apart if making a sandwich. Both are expensive but better expensive bread than expensive health issues! Dyan |

I don't do grains at all, so I don't eat Ezekiel bread, but we give it to my kids - use it for french toast, etc. We also use the hamburger buns. They like it, and I am happy I'm not giving them flour.

I keep planning on going to the health co-op to find this stuff. I was diagnosed as Gluten sensitive early this year and have heard that Ezekiel bread is the only way to go. Thanks for the reminder!

I'm in Ohio and I can get this bread at Dorothy Lane Markets and the health food stores, too. I'm in the Dayton area, if that helps you any. I'm thinking any Whole Foods, or possibly Trader Joe's might have it too.

I just love Ezekiel products. We buy their bread, wraps and even hot dog buns. I hear they make cereal - that's something I'll have to look into next time I'm at the food co-op (they also make pasta, which I've yet to try).
The bread holds up fine for me, but then, I always just put mayo or mustard on it (sandwiches) and never try to butter it. |

If you have a Kroger's near, check their freezer section. I'm near Dayton and my local store has Ezekiel Bread as well as some other types of different breads in the same section as vegetarian products.

Costco has great breads
I get Organic Flax Sprouted Bread made with NO flour at Costco. I pay $4.45 for two loaves, and it says it has 18g of carbs, but below that it says 5g fiber, 1g sugars. I use it everyday. I am in my 3rd day of induction, and I am down almost four pounds too. I won't be giving up my Flax "bread".
Yuuuuum! |

LOVE my sprouted Ezekiel bread!
Alvarado Street Bakery also makes a 7 carbs per slice Flax bread that is very tasty. Google it. Also available at Trader Joe's and Health Food Stores. ![]() |

Our local grocery store carries this and it is very good. I currently am not having grains but may in the future add this back. Thanks for reminding me about it...
