It was, Rory!

There was a huge craze for it on here a looonnggg time ago.

I did it, too many Macs. They made my tummy hurt, and now it doesn't take very many to disagree with me. Meat and egg was in Atkins books, too, and Ketostrips, and some of the others.

That list reminds me of all of the stuff that people have jumped on the bandwagon for over the years. Some are crazy, short-lived fads and some are truly good things!

A couple of others...Fat Fast, KISS, cinnamon in everything, and I know that there are more...

I certainly used to take a scary number of supplements.
The One Minute Muffin I like, but don't have more than maybe once or twice a week at the moment.
And I don't need no fad to make me eat Fage.

I remember when Macadamia nut oil was the old coconut oil.

Coral calcium, eating a dozen hard boiled eggs ..... and nothing else (Ivana Trump),
yesterday when I logged in there were five egg cream posts.

I'll stick to my good old snake oil available from the old 'health tonic' wagon.

A FAD is a quick fix, magic bullet type thing. Even Atkins has been a Fad.

Coconut oil is not a fad for me. It's not a magic bullet, but it has lots of benefits that I really do enjoy. It's a part of my every day life and I love it.

For others? It was a fad that they tried.

Low carb isn't a "Fad" for me either.

Alot of these things mentioned Do have benefits. But, people were looking more for the "magic bullet" effect. lol

Cinnamon was a good one. Although, I still drink my coffee with a sprinkle of cinnamon. So does my dh. It's good that way.

coconut oil is not a fad for me, it is part of my daily living and I don't think it has had any impact on my weight loss.

I cook with it, smear it on my family's sandwiches (it is tasteless they do not know it is there) and use the EVCO in my skin care regime and in my 8 month old's bottles.

I liken it to fish oil and think it is important and beneficial.

egg creams, well... they are just breakfast for me, I don't call breakfast a fad LOL

Maybe fad isn't the right word, maybe CRAZE should be the word!

I fogot cinnamon (still it, crackslaw, and kiss, and so many others.

I left out egg creams since that's current craze, didn't want to get beat up!

I'm starting a new craze: Walnuts

"Richer in heart-healthy omega-3s than salmon, loaded with more anti-inflammatory polyphenols than red wine, and packing half as much muscle-building protein as chicken. Other nuts combine only one or two of these features."

I'm not getting enough fish. I think I'll hit Costco for a bag of these.
