Many people have reported improvement in their oral health after adding stevia concentrate to their tooth paste and using it, diluted in water, as a daily mouthwash.

Stevia is useful in healing a number of skin problems. Whole stevia concentrates may be applied as a facial mask to soften and tighten the skin and smooth cut wrinkles. Smooth the dark liquid over the entire face, allowing it to dry for at least 30-60 minutes. A drop of concentrate may be applied directly to any blemish, acne outbreak, lip or mouth sore. Stevia concentrate is also effective when used on seborrhea, dermatitis, and eczema. Reportedly, cuts and scratches heal more rapidly when stevia concentrate is applied.

Stevia concentrate added to soap eliminates dandruff and other scalp problems and improves the health and luster of the hair, also helping to retain natural hair color."
Wow, this is getting better and better! I have the liquid Stevia, and I just finished ordering the brown concentrate.

Mine, too. My mom has the Irish genes, but my dad's family is from Austria via Switzerland. They *look* kind of Irish, though...that dark haired, hazel-eyed version. My husband's 1/4 Irish, and he's the more blonde version, although his grandma and her family are definitely like my dad. I know there was a pocket of Celts around Salzburg, where his family was originally from, so I'm going to claim they're proto-Irish, LOL! (just because it's green!)

They're nearly 70, but look like they're in their early 50's. I'm over 40 but most people think I'm in my 30's, and same for DH. When I was really thin, right I was almost 40, I was getting carded. So I think when I loose the weight I'll also loose another decade!

Hey, Prozak!!! I'm still doing this and loving it. I love how my skin feels afterwards.

Now, the next thing I am going to try is making a Lotion with the coconut Oil, Sweet Almond oil and the xyitol. I want to heat it, to melt the xyitol into the oils. Then use it as a face cream at night.

I will only use this right before bed (because we do have dogs) and I must make sure that I wash my face before I go down stairs (don't want to take a chance of the dogs licking it off me).

It's just that my skin feels so good and smooth after the Coconut oil/Xyitol scrub. I want to see what it will do (the Xyitol) having time to soak into my skin over night.

do you have stevia? you might want to try some of that too (liquid would work then you wouldn't have to dissolve it.. I melt the CO in a small pot, add a few drops and then let it cool. I can have enough for a week that way!

^^^ further up there is some info on stevia and skin benefits.

I am sure glad everyone is enjoying this, I tossed away about $200 worth of crap I have been using for years, and have MUCH better results with this regime.

Depends on the temperature. It liquifies at 76 degrees. Sometimes in the morning I've walked into the kitchen and the jar is liquid around the edges and solid in the middle, LOL! It's shelf-stable for something like 3-5 years, and if you refrigerate it you'll need an ice pick to get it out of the jar, LOL! It's just fine at room temperature, even tropical room temperatures.

It actually prevents breakouts by killing the bacteria that cause them.

Oh, I LOVE HIM! I used to breed Bichons for show, until I had my human kids. We lost our last two just before the birth of our youngest (another survival tip for Bichons in particular: those over the counter back-of-the-neck things are poisonous to them--don't cut corners!!!). My parents just got a baby out of our bloodlines and we hope to once our youngest child is just a little older!

Tuscanytrace - he is a cutie, isn't he? He is actually a Havanese, which is a cousin of the Bichon. Both breeds originally were derived from the centuries-old Italian Bologese, who were the dogs of royalty. So our dogs (my guy and the Bichons you had) are little princes & princesses! Bichons and the cream Havanese do look so much alike!

So, the "back of the neck things" you mentioned? Do you mean the flea & tick drops that absorb through the skin? I get them from my vet - are those okay? That's scary!

Tooter, you are my EVCO mentor. I've read so many of your informative posts, and I now use it topically for so many things.

I scraped the top of my toe a few days ago (ouch!) and as I decided what to put on it, I thought of coconut oil...then I thought of YOU and how your family teases you about putting coconut oil on EVERYTHING! The EVCO actually took the pain away from the scrape, and it's healing quickly.

A lady I know is bugging me to try her Arbonne products (and sell them ). She doesn't seem to understand that I like the EVCO that I use (it's more natural than Arbonne!) and am not interested in changing to anyone's high-priced products. I'm sure not interested in the multi-level marketing nonsense, but that's another topic for another day.
