I love TJs.

My favorites:

two new finds on the other day: hollendaise sauce and organic cheddar cheese curds
regular finds:
nuts
dried fruit (for the girls)
frozen meatballs (for the girls)
prepared chicken breasts
any and all cheeses
greek yogurt
lc tortillas
flax chips
meats, bacon, hotdogs
nut butters
oils
spring mix (dd8)
enchilada sauces
sometimes sprouted bread
berries depends on the price, too much and it stops the craving, lol
heavy cream

Does anyone know if they have the recycled natual bleached toilet paper? I need to buy some, and if it is cheaper there, I will wait. This is more exciting to me than going to my husband's graduation ceremony. I better not tell him that.

they have recycled toilet paper. i assume its natural bleached but i don't remember. around $3.50 for 12 single size rolls...they have phosphate free laundry detergent, and eco-friendly dish and hand soaps.

unfortunately, the soup is 15g of carbs per cup i believe.

I always buy my heavy cream, cream cheese, & eggs at TJs.
They also have milk. I buy the lactaid for my mom - competitively priced.

Thank you for that info. I wasn't sure, as I remember a store employee in a health-food store saying that diabetics like to use it, but No carb, and low-glycemic are two separate things. I appreciate knowing.

I love TJ's and I always find something new there and I pop in at least 2 times a week. Try the freeze dried strawberries in Fage yogurt ( I usually throw in some slivered almonds too). It is so good! Everyone knows not to touch my strawberries!

Or simply salmon though we do have just chicken.
I used to get the simply salmon, then read the label; it's not wild-caught Alaskan. Canned red salmon is wild-caught Alaskan, so I buy that instead. Mix it with chopt onions and enough mayo to make it pretty. Yum! Usually have HB eggs with it.

The only heavy cream I have ever found at my TJ's has other added ingredients. (I can't remember what they are b/c after reading the label I put it back on the shelf!)
For those that buy cream there does yours just list cream as an ingredient or are there other things listed?

Otherwise I love TJ's for all of the same things listed above.
I also really like their guacamole kits--with a couple avocado's, tomatoes and pepper sold in one clamshell. And I pick up canned artichokes and hearts of palm there to make salads more exciting too! Oh...and my very favorite thing from TJ's is their bagged "herb salad blend"--in addition to lettuce it also has dill, parsley and cilantro in it!

Look for a pint plastic bottle with a bright pink cap. Just cream. I think you may be finding more exotic 'creams' or 'double creams' or 'clotted creams' as you search for just plain cream. Ask for help, if you do not find what you seek. I often ask folks nearby to help me find what I seek in a plethora of choices. A friend who shops for me, hands my very explicit list to a clerk to pick up just what I want, as she does not trust herself to find specific items.

I do the same when I am seeking sour cream that has nothing added to make it low-fat. Too many items at TJ are aiming for the low-fat market. I want sour cream, not anything that has milk added to bring down calories. So I get my sour cream elsewhere - Hampshire Farms is a delicious brand for sour cream.

I buy a lot of what the other posters buy. I didn't see frozen french green beans listed. I buy bags of them when I go. Can't keep them in the house! The prices cannot be beat, I'd much rather go to Trader Joe's than the regular grocery store. I save a lot of money on organic/whole foods.

I am lucky enough to have a Trader Joe's right up the road from my house......I have never been, but very intrigued. What are the prices like, compared to regular grocery stores?

Thanks Zer! Good advice! I've never seen little bottles with caps--I've only seen cartons at my TJ's but will now look a little more closely thanks to your advice! I was definitely looking at a container of "heavy cream" but it had "carrageen" (sp?) and I think "polysorbate" and a few other long scary words that I didn't know in it so I just put it back and stopped at Whole Foods for the organic plain heavy cream that only lists "cream" as the ingredients! I little bit of a pain, but worth it to avoid those sneaky unknown ingredients! I'll be sure to check again at TJ's though--I'm there about twice a week!!

I love the chicken chorizo sausage. They are a staple of my chili along with the frozen red, green and yellow bell pepper and the free range chicken broth.

Also love: leak hearts, uncured bacon, frozen organic green beans, truffle cheese, goddess dressing, balsamic vinegar, oil cured olives... I buy a lot of my stuff at TJ's.

hmmm this surprises me. The purple one? That is their conventional cream and I believe is pure cream. I have never seen carrageenan in TJ's heavy cream. I use the organic one sometimes when I don't have my raw and it is pure cream.
