I think this may work, can anyone else verify?
Yeah or just stream the hot coffee just out of the coffee maker into the blender that has the rest of the ingredients. The temp they use to pasteurize stuff is under the boiling point.

I'm trying one right now, sooooo good and frothy.

I took a hint from another post and I did:

1 ounce of heavy cream 2 egg yolks mixed them very well together heated them on the stove until almost a custard consistency poured it in a blender added 6 ounces of hot coffee and some cinnamon, nutmeg, caramel torani.

It's cold outside so I wanted mine warm. Its way better then I expected. I think I'm adicted.

It tastes better than anything I've ever ordered from Starbucks.

I just made a (cold) one. If I hadn't put the egg in there myself, I don't think I would've ever picked up on an eggy taste.

I'm hoping it fills me up like a lot of you mention...I've been hungry lately and eating up the house!

What do you use to transport it, just a thermos or something? I'm, right now, having the Big Train Mocha mix for breakfast in the morning, but, when that runs out, I plan to try this - would be a lot cheaper!

I've been trying to give up cheese and cream this past week, so have been making egg creams this way:

1 or 2 eggs
1/4c davinci's spice blend and 1/4 cup boiling water

Blend these together until frothy and add to 5 oz hot coffee.

Tastes just like cappucino with cream! I don't miss it at all. I'll know Monday if it's made any difference on the scale (which hasn't moved in a month, by the way )

The original egg cream thread had advice about a way to cook the eggs before mixing them in. Not sure where it is but should be easy to find with a search.

I don't know where you are, but get eggs from a farmer if you can. There is much less risk of contaminated eggs from a small flock of healthy birds. One told me the risk the other day of getting something from a raw farmer's egg, and it's so tiny as to make you wonder what all the fuss is about.

This sounds yummy! I can't use sucralose, so I'm going to try this tomorrow using 1 drop of flavored stevia for every 2 ounces of shake. I think I'll try English Toffee first!

I have my own chickens and eggs so I know they're healthy, but I still am queasy about the raw thing.

I did make this and the flavor was good but I added ice and blended it and it was watery. So I messed it up.

For the ones who drink these do you like them better hot or cold?

Wow. I drank a third of my egg cream - it filled a 16oz mug. I got soooo full I had to stop drinking it. This is gonna make a great breakfast.

You didn't mess it up, mine is always watery. Don't know how I could thicken it up even if I wanted to. I like mine cold.

I really like mine hot, but I have never tried it chilled. It's just like a frothy cappuccino. Mmmm. . .

I've been looking for the original thread but cannot find it. Those of you who saw it, do you have any idea what the thread title might have been? I'm still so bad at using the search function on this thing!

We originally started talking about the egg creams on a thread called "I wasted my carbs on coffee", and the thread that came after that was called, "A shake for breakfast? and lunch?". . .on the second thread, you have to go to page 2 before we started talking specifically about egg creams.

I think I've got the links for you.

Wasted my carbs allowance on coffee

a shake for breakfast? and lunch?

HTH!

I haven't tried it hot, but I like it cold. I use: 2 eggs, 1 tbs cream, a splash of French Vanilla Davinci, and a tsp cinnamon. Mix it up (I use magic bullet). Add 4 or 5 oz. coffee and shake. Add ice. Yum!

EUREKA!

My Doctor would like me to abstain for egg whites for a week to see if I am still having a food intolerance... and I was at a loss what to eat for Breakfast (leftovers are getting monotonous!). I am going to try an Egg Cream with just the yolks!

Y'all have a great thread going on here~!!

That's a little odd, usually the yolks are more likely to cause allergies than the whites...lol. What is making him think the whites are the culprit?

I think it might be the whites.. I remember when my daughter was under a year, and he told me to introduce eggs, I was only allowed to feed her the egg yolks untill she was 1 because of a possible alergy.

I thought of that after I posted it--shows how long it's been since my kids were little! I was just remembering you didn't even give them yolks until 6 months...lol.

I was thinking about trying just yolks in my shake tomorrow..
are the yolks more eggy tasting? or the whites?
I'd like to do 3 yolks instead of 2 whole eggs.
