McDonald's Iced Coffee?
I noticed today that they have a sugar free vanilla flavor. I wanted to order one but was afraid of hidden carbs. I just checked their website and found the carb counts for all the other flavors but not the sugar free one. What do you think? Anyone know the carb count? I think I'll email them and see if I get a response. It sure looks good!!!

I don't have an answer for you, except tosay that I am ALWAYS leary of things which claim "sugar-free." What are they putting in there in place of the sugar to sweeten it up? It may well be something you really don't want to eat.

Thanks for the link! I wasn't on here in July (I not only fell off the wagon it rolled over me) so I missed that post. And I thought the Iced coffees from Mickey D's were a new thing! Maybe they are new in my area. I have emailed them and asked for a carb count for the SF Vanilla flavor. |

I'm not sure if their carb count. I've tried them a couple of times though
they just weren't consistent. One time they would be great and the next yuck. |

I had one of these tonight. Ordered a large iced coffee w/cream, w/o sugar. I went inside to order just so I could watch them make it. Wouldn't you know, they still made it w/the sugar!!
Luckily I was watching so I had them make me a new one, I sipped just to be sure it wasn't sweet and they didn't sneak it in on me They got it right the second time and then I just added my own sweetner packets. It was SO good! |

yes, I have heard this over and over again at McD's. you HAVE to watch them to make sure they dont add the sugar...
THAT being said, I cannot begin to tell you how many times I have caught my Starbucks baristas [and I love my starbucks dearly] accidentally putting in the full sugar syrup when I asked for SF! The moral of the story: you gotta be careful when you order out! |

I have watched them make these and they have used cream every time...however, WAY too much cream for my liking. I am not a cream in my coffee person, but do enjoy a little in an iced coffee. I don't think I would ever be able to McD's to customize it correctly for me. I stick with Caribou Coffee's iced coffee, just plain old iced coffee over ice and I add my own cream and sweetner.

Another note about McD's.
A few weeks ago, I allowed myself a cheat day, but the only thing I really wanted was a sweet tea. Went to McD's and thoroughly enjoyed it. Came back to work and just out of curiousity looked up the nutritional facts...one large sweet tea...230 calories and 59 carbs. What in the heck do they put in tea that would be that many carbs. That is like 2 whole cups of splenda.

I doubt if my little town has the SF vanilla..This post made me laugh because I go in about every day for one (after doing Curves). I know most of the workers by name now..and most of them know what I want. But, if I see a person that is in "training", I just say,
"ice, coffee, cream..that's it". I have to say this several times, then usually one of "my trained peeps" will make it for me. |

Your welcome FloridaShell. I went to MD's yesterday for my daughter and we don't have sugar free iced coffee either. I live in the Bay Area, that sucks. I will have to got to Cafino.

I called customer service for Mcdonalds and they told me the small sugar free vanilla iced coffee is 90 calories with 11 carbs and the medium is 120 calories with 16 carbs. I didn't even bother asking about the large.

Where do you suppose all those carbs are coming from? The coffee? All that cream? I see them making them, they put a TON of cream in those drinks (half and half). I cannot believe there are that many carbs. But then again the calories seem low so maybe it is the supposed sugar free syrup they are using.

If I want iced coffee at McDonalds...
I get a small black coffee, a large cup of ice & 1 little thingie of cream on the side (only if it is real cream, not the artificial stuff), and make my own. otherwise I drink it black. Every McD I have been to is very accommodating. I get my burgers without buns. And their grilled chicken Caesar is wonderful!!! Let us not take McD to task!!! Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI (in town, getting it my way, and back in con-TROLL).
