2008 Goal: Lose 40 pounds or more
My birthday is Jan. 17th (tomorrow), so I'm starting on weightloss behavior on the 18th. By my next birthday, I'd like to drop at least 40 pounds. That's an average of less than 1 pound a week, and if I focus on regular exercise and sane low carbing, I can do it!

My biggest priority for this year is to get back into ONEderland. Anything I achieve beyond that is fabulous, but just being back there would be a huge blessing in and of itself!

My goal is to wear a bikini this summer, and look hot. I'm going to be 25 in September, which is kind of a milestone for me. I'd like to stop feeling ashamed of my body. I'd like to feel strong. I'd like to feel disciplined. And I'd like to wear a cute little bikini.
I'm not sure what a reasonable bikini goal weight is. I tend to build muscle quite easily, and at my most physically fit have ranged around 135-139 lbs. I would like to be in the 120s, but wonder if I can realistically get there without sacrificing muscle tone.

My only Goal is just to stay focused and not to let anything deter me, especially stalls, just to eat my 20 carbs and stay focused not to worry about getting to 145 or losing for my birthday, to wear clothes from the normal stores or any other reasons, i'm just taking it one day at a time

2008 is going to be a good year I'm turning 40! This year my goal is to wear a smoking red dress on b-day. So I will have to keep working hard for that. I also will run a marathon in may, I'm tired just thinking of it. Those are my big goals for 2008. Looking forward for both.

Mine is to make it to my goal, 110 pounds, which is 58 pounds. I've been low carbing since the beginning of December, and I'm down 11 pounds so far! My goal is to lose it by my 30th birthday, which is at the end of the year.
I won't wake up on January 1st, 2009, resolving that this will be the year I finally lose the weight, because I will have already lost it! |

I would like to average a 2lb weight loss per week and get my weight off. Stay with clean eating and not stray. Work out daily and beable to job for 30 minutes a day. Buy cute clothes again.

my goal is to hit 160-170. I have already hit Onederland for the first time in 10 years and I am glad for that but I want to get down to my goal. you can see my before and after pics on pg 4 of the before and after pics. I was right below 300 when I started. I am now at 195!!!!!

My Weightloss Goals For 2008
Well my goal was supposed to be lose 46lbs. by my 46th birthday (April, 27). I started this goal back in November and was well on my way. Lost 12 lbs. then the holidays hit and I was weak. I binged on junk for an entire month! Needless to say, I gained it all back. Now I'm starting over. I don't know if I'll make that 46lb. goal by my birthday but I am now back on track and working towards it. I think my ultimate goal should be to stay on track and stop the madness of yo,yo dieting! By the way, I'm new here and could use all the support I can get! It's nice to be among those who know what I'm going through.

I would love to be at a healthy weight, and not only that, but to actually be more physically healthy by working out more.
I would say I want to be goal, but though I have a goal weight posted I'm trying not to focus on a specific weight as a final goal. I'd rather goal be when I'm healthy, and feeling good with where I'm at. |

What an inspiring post! Thanks to all of you who have shared... it's encouraging to read everyone's goals and see what motivates us!
My goal is to lose 100 lbs in 2008! That would bring me down to 259 and about another 100 lbs from my goal weight. I also just started taking blood pressure medication for the first time in my life, and I hope to be off of that by the end of this year, if not sooner. I realize that this is going to be a looooong journey, but I am really committed this time and I'm actually very excited! To reach my goal, I'm going to STAY ON PLAN (even if my DH decides not too), log in here as often as possible (every week day is my plan), start working out more frequently, drink more water, and stop making excuses! Also, I hope to deal with some of the "issues" that I covered up with fat to begin with... so, I'm hoping to seek out counselling for some big hurts in my life that I don't think I've completely worked through.
