I thought it might be interesting to see if people wanted to update (admit, or brag) as to how they are doing on their goals set earlier in the year.

In my own case, it is a reminder of one that I let fall by the wayside......

I have not lost the weight I wanted to yet, but I still have time to work on that before year-end. Actually, I am basically at the same weight I was at the beginning of the year, but at least I have gotten rid of the increase that incurred earlier this year.

Excercise has been not by schedule, but due to DH back surgery, I have had an increase in physical activity because I have had to do more of the physical work, than in years past. That I think is covered.

I had completely abandoned the meditation aspect. But I did purchase a set of DVD's while still motivated, and now have a DVD player in my bedroom, so I will dust it off (dirty house--could do more physical activity there, but not going to.....) and try and get back to trying meditation while there is time in 2008 to work on it.

Hope some others will update also, so we know how people are doing, good or bad........

I want to be a COMFORTABLE size 7, not squeezing into them. And/or 130 lbs. I am 5'8" so I think those would be close to the same. And I want it to be by Jan 1st.

This is my first post to this forum. My goal...I haven't really set one. I was recently diagnosed with T2 - so this journey is only 7 weeks for me. I have already lost 10 pounds of my total goal of 90-100 pounds. I guess by 12/31/08 I would like to lose a total of 30-40 pounds. I am not obsessing over it. I have an ultimate goal to lose steadily and then maintain. I plan to reach my final goal sometime in the summer of
2009 - just in time for my 30th high school reunion.

I am shooting for 20-30 lbs by year's end...I think it's an attainable goal, if I commit to it. I would love to fit in size 12's and 14's again!

May I ask your height? You and I are within very close weight range. I'm 5'4" and I started at about 137, about 127 now, and am shooting for 118. I can't imagine getting below 115, but if all goes well... I may try it just to see.

Regards,
Maria

I'm with you Maria. I am 5'4 and started at 149lbs, am now 138lbs and need to get back to my normal weight of 118-123lbs. The last time I was under 115lbs I was 5'0 tal and didn't have any musclel....I'd love to be 115lb but not too sure how it would look.

My goal for 2008 was to lose all the baby weight gain I've had for the past 3 years. No excuses this time. The baby is going on to be age 4 in December 2008.
Now my goal for the end of 2008 and into 2009 is to lose all this weight and become 145-150 pounds my average healthy old weight I was before the baby came.

Hi

Hi all, I'm new here but wanted to post my weight loss goals.

I was very active athletically until I recently picked up an injury, and have not been as active as I should be. I have to do low-impact exercises and have to watch what I eat even more now that my activity level has changed. I've been focusing on less red meat and more greens, less butter and more olive oil, and have really started trying to eat 6 small meals per day with the help of granola bars and other meal supplements. I hope to get down to my natural playing weight by the time I come back from injury, which is in 2 months (and about 10 pounds).

I am still new but wanted to post. I would like to be as close to 200 or less as possible. Only 26 pounds to go. Is that attainable in the next 3 months? You betcha!

I would like to be down to 120 by Christmas. I know it is harder to lose less but I need to do it. I know I will never be back down to where I was when I got married 13 years ago but I think 120 is good (I am 5'3).

I went back and looked, and my goal for 2008 was to lose 10 lbs. I currently have gotten back down to the weight I started 2008 at (lots of stuff went on this year)

I still have 3 months to lose that 10 lbs, and am seriously starting on it.

Hope others will go back, and look at their goals and see how they are doing.......

My birthday is December 14th. I would like to wear a dress and feel comfortable in it. I would like to weigh 10 pounds less than I do now. That doesn't sound like much but I haven't lost a pound in about a month of clean eating (lost an inch though).

Fingers crossed!
