Advice for getting back into ketosis

I'm a low-carb veteran (7 years) and I'm trying to get back into ketosis but have had a hard time pushing through the first few days. I know that once I'm in ketosis my appetitie will die down but the carb demon has ahold of me. Any suggestions/tips for surviving the first couple of days? It might be stuff I already know but it helps to be reminded. Ever since I had kids this has been a problem because I can't do the 'environmental control' thing and get carbs out of the house.

I can't speak for everyone but I know what worked for myself and my daughter...only for the first 2 weeks though..but bacon bacon bacon. We did just meat eggs and cheese for the first two weeks and within 2 days were in full blown ketosis....and haven't come out since. I don't really eat bacon much anymore now it's just lean meats and veggies but I continue to stay in the dark purple and so does my daughter.

I'm sure you remember all of that but I thought I'd pot anyway. Good luck....you can do it!!!!

I't right there with you! This is day four of reinduction and I'm struggling. I know tomorrow I will feel my appetite really drop. Yesterday, day three, was the worst and always is for me. Day four is a struggle, too. I could never actually starve myself.

My only "trick" is that during the initial few days, I do not worry at all about quantity of food. Instead, I work for as close to zero-carb as I can get, and really load on the fat. It's the only wya I get through it. Plus, more water than I typically drink, and also avoid soft drinks. So only coffee & water for four days. This means some weird meals -- today I've had two eggs, one link of sausage, cheese for b'fast, yocheese & cucumber for lunch, 2 string cheese sticks, and 2 beef patties with swiss cheese & caesar dressing. Fat, fat, fat and a lot of it. No, I don't normally eat that way and I won't tomorrow.

I have to be super-strict in this weird way, or I will quit altogether.
