Although none of the info in this thread applies to me, I was able to pass along the recommendation for the "pearls" to my aunt, who suffers from IBS. I am hoping this will help her. Thanks so much, everyone.

Diana that is SO AWESOME! I am soo glad you got them and it works for you too. I still can't believe it. I hadn't touched the tea in 9 days. I also was popping Excedrin Migraine EVERY SINGLE MORNING when I first woke up. Hadn't touched that in 9 days either. I just broke 2 addictions on the same day. Go figure.

I just wanted to say thank you to Allie for starting this thread and telling everyone about Probiotics. I was able to hear about probiotics from Cutie because of this discussion. You see I ended up in ER this past Monday. I was intense pain all weekend starting on Saturday with a raging fever and couldn't move. I was stubborn and took Tylenol 3s and ignored it. By Sunday I couldn't move. I still ignored it and took more pain medication. By Monday I ended up in ER. They couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. I had an ultrasound both internal and external. I still don't know what the results are but my pain has now gone away. I know the cause of this pain. This is the third time this has happened. It is from my dependency on x-lax, epsom salt flushes, suppositories and senna tea. I was crazy. If I felt heavy in my tummy from eating. i would take something to flush me out. I realize now I have an issue and I have stopped taking anything. This all stemmed from eating extreme low carb/low fat/low calorie diet and getting frustrated when the scale didn't move. Needless to say I am adult and made the decision to listen to someone that wasn't a doctor and said it was okay to take a laxative every day. Well I paid the price.
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for discussing openly about their issues because there are people out there like me who think they are the only one. Now I have to go and get me some pearls! I already have some probiotic yogurt but I know that isn't enough. Thank you again. ![]() |

Lord have mercy Princess- BLESS YOU girlfriend. I can tell you right now, I also had the fullness in the tummy feeling and had to 'flush it out'. I now think the fullness in the tummy (not ordinary fullness but very uncomfy gassy hurting fullness) everytime I ate was BECAUSE of the senna tea AND colace (yeah I did colace sometimes too). Immediately the full feeling after eating went away, the 1st or 2nd day since starting the probiotics. I really think I was messing up my digestive system- no I KNOW it. I knew the feelings I was having in my tummy were not normal and I knew I had to quit it. Thank GOD for someone here on LCF who very innocently and nonchalantly (not really knowing my full issue) that I tried a probiotic due to the full feeling when eating salad. I think it was Dae_Tona. It is amazing how our minds work and also how these probiotics WORK TO FIX A MESSED UP DIGESTIVE TRACT. I just thank you Jesus for it. I have gotten PMs from people who hadn't posted their 'success' on this thread-- so know that this is 'fixing' more people than are openly admitting here. Amen!
I am SO GRATEFUL for LCF and for the suggestion that I try a probiotic. Google and further LCF searches led me to the acidophilus pearls. Be blessed people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh I have been eating salad almost daily, sometimes 2x a day with ZERO PROBLEMS. No gas, no bloat, my tummy has gone down and is not puffing out ridiculously, no crampy gross feeling, and the train is freakin MOVIN alot! I feel well nourished. Amen.

Hey Allie...DH was dealing with this rash on his face and we couldn't figure out what was going on with him. He has tried cutting out this and that but nothing worked. I bought some of the pearl because I thought he might be dealing with something related to his bowels. He started taking them and within a day the rash started getting better. He is convinced the pearls are helping. Just wanted you to know! Thanks for this thread. It is branching out and touching so many issues!

Beth girl that is GREAT! The rash may be yeast related. And these friendly bacteria are known to combat yeast. It is strange how friendly bacteria can fix up so much stuff! Yayyy!
PS-- I put in a plug to the admins requesting that Netrition carry these products!! Perhaps they will consider it. |

I ordered the free sample pack but couldn't wait and so bought some Pearls at my health food store Friday. Have taken one each morning and have been "regular" for the first time in probably my entire life! It's really very amazing and I'm thrilled to say the least. Thanks so much, Ali, for doing the research and telling us about Pearls!

I don't post much here but I just wanted to say that I read this whole thread with much interest because I find too that I have issues with going to the Loo regularly since I've been seriously low-carbing. I too was starting to either take the Super Dieters Tea or MoM , not every day but 2-3 x a week to move things along and this was beginning to bother me.
I took the suggestion and went to my local health food store today to buy the pearls and I so hope that they help me to be regular . I love this woe and the results I'm having but not going and having to be dependent on laxatives is not pretty either, not to even talk about the long-lasting harm it can do. Oh, to the poster that asked if it started with low carb , I think mine did even when I have my veggies and salad I don't even have a rumbling in my tummy. I took 2 today but will have to see what happens because I have a big dose of MoM in my system now . Wow, thanx so much Allie for posting this, you've helped a lot of people by being open and honest. I can't quite say I'm regular but I'm not bloated or constipated either. My stomach is flatter and not poofy so I feel good. Things are definately getting better every day! ![]() |
