I'll have to try these. I usually make my own buffalo wings - I just bought some wings today as a matter of fact... Thanks for the tip!

I never could before my convection either. Convection IS THE ANSWER! I HATE slimy wings more than anything. GOTTA be crisp.

I don't have a convection, but what i do is i bake my wings on 400 and every so often I drain the grease or water that may build up and my wings come out crispy. I hate slimy wings too. Try this it may work for those of you who don't have a convection oven, that's not one of those things I just can't go pick up so you find another way to do it!

I do mine in the oven on a pan covered with foil. They actually come out pretty crispy!

Since my oven is broken, I cook mine in my toaster oven. Bout 30 mins at 400 and then turn it on Broil to crisp them up for about 7 mins.

Works great!

I put this in the other thread about these wings as well but I'll re-post here. I make the Tyson wings in the microwave with a crisping plate that I got off of QVC. You pre-heat the plate for about 90 seconds and then put the wings in for about 7 minutes turning once. They come out nice and crispy every time. It's kind of my go to snack lately.

Maybe I need to broil ? Of course the crisping plate might be the cheaper method (vs convection oven). I even tried them on a broiler pan hoping the juices/slime would run off.

My problem with these is that I can't stop with just 4 (a serving). I can eat 10 or more and still want more! They are definitely a staple item for us. I buy them at Costco - usually get two bags at a time.

Thanks for the tip on using the convection oven. I've always cooked them in the regular oven on high heat - 425 or so on a foil lined and Pam sprayed pan.

I know I'm the same way it is HARD for me to spend 10.00 on something like these. Although I've been looking for them lately at walmart and can't find them anymore. Only some buffalo ones.

I did see a 10 lb bag of wingettes (sp) at Sams (unseasoned) for 14.00 I thought that was expensive but its sounding better and better. lol

I deep fry them. ALWAYS crispy even when you drench (regular) wings in hot sauce. Love the lime wings

I love these wings! The trick to get them crispy is to cook them at a higher temp than the package says. I think these say 350 or 375 and I cook them at 400.

Yes these are yummy. I always cook frozen wings way longer in the oven than the package says. That way they dont come out fatty.

You are right about the temp.
I baked some hot wings and the package said to bake at 375, I baked @ 400 and the were crisp like I like them.

They are much smaller, like Wing Stop's and fry up much better.
Sam's Club in California carries them. Put them on a cookie sheet sprayed with olive oil spray, and spray the wings with lime juice, then into a 400 degree oven for 15 minutes or until brown. Flip them over and spray them with lime again, then back into the oven for about 5 minutes more. BAKE them, not fried and not microwaved. My wife and I love them but sadly cannot find them in or anywhere near Ashland, Oregon.
