What does 5'5" 150 lbs. look like?

I am really obsessing over what my 150 lb. goal weight will look like on me and having trouble mentally picturing it. While I realize everybody is different, it would really help me to see a few pictures of those of you who are 5'5" tall and weigh 150 lbs. or so.

I'm in my mid-50s...It's been over 25 years since I weighed so little and I can't remember!

If you'll just reply to this post with your signature photo that will really be appreciated! Thanks so much and I hope you don't think this is too weird!!

There's some website where you can input information like height and weight and it gives you a rendering of what you would, technically, look like at that weight.

Maybe someone can PM you the link. I don't recall the site any longer.

Everyone's body build is different. So no two people will look alike.

I'm currently 5'4, 160 lbs and when I tell people (especially guys) they laugh and say my scale must be wrong but then I prove it with my size 12 jeans. Most guesses are that I weigh in the 140's and wear a 8/10. So it's hard for me to compare how I will look at 150 or lower because we're all different.

To get an idea take a look at this site, http://www.cockeyed.com/photos/bodie...htweight.shtml

Notice how some look smaller or bigger than others at close to the same weight.

I'm 5'7.5" tall and when I weighed 183# people couldn't believe it - they were shocked when I told them (I didn't tell them until I lost the weight) too embarrassed . I now am down into the 120's# - and it is very noticeable!

I agree - we are all different and if you are like me - you will look thinner than you think.

I know what you mean. I actually started dieting at 200# in June. I hid my weight well because it is mostly in my stomach and baggy shirts disguise it. I would be out to lunch with skinny friends who might comment about some huge gal they knew who must be over 200 lbs. I know they would have died of embarrassment if they'd known I was sitting there at that weight. People can be so stupid sometimes. Sales clerks used to ask me when the baby was due and I'd say, "20 years ago". Now that I'm in my mid-50s and turning gray, at least they don't say that anymore.

I visited that cockeyed website and that was helpful although, strangely enough, there wasn't a pic for 5'5" & 150 lbs.

Thank you all for the pix...it's really helping me... and keep 'em coming!

The website I used is called My Virtual Model - if you google that you'll find it.

I'm 5'5" but down in the low 130's now - if I can find a pic of myself at 150 I'll post it!

I was a WONDERFUL size 6/8 at 150. I carry lots of weight in the breast/butt area though. My tummy seems to stay firm! Probably because I have yet to have babies!

You can search by height, weight, pant size and body shape. It's great! I put in my goal weight too to give me motivation and see how I'll look!

Geez, talk about self-image issues.. I gave myself a little test. I entered my height (5'5"). Picked Any across the board, so all photos of women my height came up. I picked the medium photo size, looked over the images, and picked which body I thought most resembled mine (unable to see each individual's weight beforehand)? I picked a woman that weighed 160 & a woman that weighed 185!

I'm currently about 135(guessing as haven't weighed in while) and I have to say, you're looking proportionally much more slender at 150-153, than I do at 135! I'm envious!

Isn't it crazy?!?! I think we must all do it! That's an interesting way of using the site too. I would def. try that if I hadn't spent soooo much time looking at everyone even close to my body type so that I know all their weights by heart.

That makes me think I might want to go lower than 150.

Just another suggestion to anyone who wants to see different weights at different heights, if you go to modelmayhem.com, you can search amateur models by gender, height, age, and race. They don't have a weight option but if you look through the results you get a whole range of body types.

I must admit that I look through there a lot lol

Thank you! That picture is actually from September of 2001. I went from 150 down to 140, then to a low of 127, which was TOO low for me to maintain. My "happy weight" is in a range of 130 to 135.

That cat is "St. Pauli Girl" aka Pauli or Pauli-wog - we adopted her and another, Tequila (dark gray tuxedo), from the SPCA in April of last year, after our beloved Lucky left us at age 22. Nobody can take Lucky's place, but these two helped fill the holes left in our hearts when Lucky finally couldn't make it any more.

I'm sorry you lost your furbaby - it's so hard!

I just did this and there were no pictures of ANYONE that fit the measurement I put in! They asked me to download a picture, which I may do. This site is pretty cool!

Now, if you look at my avatar picture I am 5' 5" and 158. I carry all my weight in my hips and butt so where someone else is the same weight and height they may wear a size 10 or 8. Not me, at 150 I was.......size 12 or 14. Even at my lowest weight of 138 I was still a size 10. Only when I got down below 130 was I as size 8.

We are all shaped different so what one person looks like at 150, someone else looks totally different.

AGREE! That is totally me too. When I was 140-150 I was a size 12 as well. Only once did I get down to the mid to low 130s, and even then I was a 10 (or a skin tight 8 just to prove I could zip them ) At the same time, my tops were smalls. I never even wore shorts!

Sorry OP, I don't have any pictures of myself at 150 on this computer. I'm 5'6" and felt comfortable around 140-150.
