Pauline,
Your journey of self-discovery is amazing, inspiring and rings SO true for me. Thank you for sharing it! You have no idea just how much it means to me to know others have gone through the same things. When you're overweight, the feelings of being alone and isolated in the world are overwhelming. You've shown that it CAN be overcome. Bless you! (Oh and your husband sounds like a gem! Lucky you!) |

I have spent years on eating disorder forums, in meetings and treatment centers and I have never identified w/ a story like I do yours. With further accolades I have to say that this is the clearest cut, set of directions I have seen for overcoming BED or any food related issue.
You should seriously think about writing one of those (dreaded *lol*) self help books my dear as you are a living example on how to overcome the adversity of addiction and live life without compulsive overeating. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! |

Thanks violett
I have recently read a really good book on binge eating (both B.E.D. and bulimia) with some really good advice and exercises ... some of it is indeed the same kind of thing I have written, taking away the restrictive feelings that cause us to rebel, but it goes much farther and I have really benefited from it. I got the book from the library and then when I realized how valuable it was, I bought a copy. The book is called: Binge No More: Your Guide to Overcoming Disordered Eating by Joyce D. Nash. ![]() Pauline

What a touching and inspirational story. You really are/were beautiful in all of your pictures. I would have never guessed you were going through such intense inner turmoil. That is the part people often don't hear about when they see the "before and after" pictures. They don't always know that what it took to get there was a lot more than eating some different foods.
Thank you for sharing. |

"This has not only been a weightloss journey, but a journey inside that has changed the way I view the world and my every interaction with it, taking me from a place of deep dissatisfaction, to one of revelry in my own existence, living each day as if it were my last. I have accomplished something monumental in my life - not only the weightloss, but the insight and introspection, that has allowed me to find my own peace and happiness right inside my own skin -- not anywhere outside it. Sometimes what I have achieved - ordinary everyday happiness - hits me like a ton of bricks. This can never be taken away from me."
Such beautiful words! I'm teary-eyed You've really captured a feeling that I remember having, before I re-gained my weight. But I can have it again, and I will! Thanks for the inspiration, TaDa :-) (You're gorgeous, BTW, inside and out!)
