What to order at Starbucks???

Ok, we just got a Starbucks here where I live...I am a coffee lover but have never been to a Starbucks and am frankly pretty intimidated about ordering. Everyone here at work keeps bringing in different stuff, but I know it's all full of sugar and carbs. Those of you that frequent Starbuck's...what do you order? I usually drink my coffee black with Splenda and sometimes Davinci syrups...

Help?

I order a Cafe Americano with a shot of sugar free syrup. Then I'll ad half and half and splenda. It's pretty good to me and avoids all of that latte(etc) high carb stuff.

Starbucks usually has SF vanilla or SF hazelnut that you can ask them to add to your black coffee. That would be the lowest carb drink they have.

Really, nothing other than tea or regular coffee is acceptable during induction. But, if your not on induction or maintaining, you can have a breve latte (or anything with "breve" has less carbs). Warning: You will get addicted. They are absolutely marvelous! Much creamier than a regular latte. The "breve" means using half-and-half instead of regular milk. In Canada, the SF syrups available at Starbucks are hazelnut and vanilla. This is what I order when I go:

Grande (or tall) SF vanilla (or hazelnut) breve latte.

YUM!!!

I think a tall has 20g of carbs but Starbucks always has the nutritional pamphlets nearby.

I used to order only the vanilla and then discovered the SF hazelnut. SOOOO good in a breve latte.

Thanks, guys!! I am in OWL, but still like to keep my carbs fairly low. Plus, I'm not a huge fan of the really sweet creamy latte type coffees, but really like the flavored stuff (hazelnut is my fave!). I checked out their website and was able to check out the nutritional info on their beverages.

Sugar free vanilla latte breve. Order it just like that. They are so good!!!! I don't have starbucks by me anymore but when I was living in Michigan I drank one every morning. And I"m not really a big coffee drinker. The "breve" is a term used for half and half instead of regular milk. Trust me.. you'll love it.

I like an iced Cafe Americano with a shot of SF vanilla or hazelnut, then I add a splash of heavy cream. They tend to be a bit heavy-handed with the cream and half & half so I just add it myself at home or at work.

When it's cold outside though, I also like the Tall Decaf Double-shot Breve Latte with a shot of SF vanilla. MMMM! So yummy!

I am so into cold coffee drinks lately and they have been my downfall over the last year. I have had 1 (or 100!!!) too many Mocha Frappacino Lights. UGH!!!

Anyway......to get something LEGAL (which I am back to doing), I usually get an Iced Venti Americano with room and then I add a little half and half and Splenda. In colder weather, I don't get it iced. Starbucks also has their Shaken Iced coffee in the warmer weather that they brew differently. It says that it is sweetened on the menu board, but you can get it unsweetened. The Americano tastes almost the same, though, if they don't have it.

If I am doing South Beach (which I have in the past), I get an Iced Venti Sugar Free Skinny Vanilla Latte since you can have skim milk on SB. It is VERY yummy. Hot is good, too.

I had a Breve Latte once and I thought it was too sickeningly rich and creamy and the calories are waaaaaaay too high when I am trying to actually lose.

Enjoy your Starbucks!!! I certainly do mine. I am addicted...much to DH's dismay. He just doesn't get it.

I love love love 4 shots over ice in a venti cup with a splash of half and half. It is rich thick coffee goodness! I think it only has about 4 carbs.

I'm glad you bumped this thread, because I'd love to do Starbuck's again!

Two questions: does anybody know where I can find the actual carb counts for Starbuck's?

And, how do you say breve? Does it rhyme with leave or brave or ??

Though you're better off asking for heavy cream.

SF Vanilla Latte. Hell it took me a year before I would say Venti instead of large. I keep my orders simple.

I've almost given up starbucks completely. If I'm out running errands and it's getting really close to lunch and I'm starting to feel it, I MAY stop in and get a tall quad decaf heavy cream latte.

I was told 'brah-VAY'. Accent and long A sound in the 2nd syllable. But really, who knows for sure?

To find the carb counts, I recommend you look at starbucks® beverages

And I am with SashimiMark, Sugar-Free Cinnamon Dolce Latte with HWC FTW. They keep the HWC behind the bar and will pull it out if you ask.

Ditto! Hot or iced, Americano's are the way to go.

Dont forget to ask which sugar free syrups they have. It seems the stores sometimes have different ones. I the sugar free cinnamon dolce. yummers.

I rarely go to Starbucks anymore either; my husband makes the best coffee for me every morning! But when I do go, it's a Tall House Blend with an ounce of heavy whipping cream, 2 Splendas, & a few shakes of ground cinnamon. If a well-intentioned-but-new barista tells you, "We don't have heavy cream," just tell them it's in the mini-fridge.

If it's hot outside, I'll ask for a free Venti cup of ice & a straw, & transfer the above over. Either way, the total is roughly $1.6x, depending on where you live.

I worked at Starbucks all last summer. It's pronounced: Brev-A.

I do not like any of their sugar-free syrups. Bleck!

My summer drink of choice, since I hate coffee, was an Iced Venti Soy White Mocha with Vanilla. OMG. So good, but so bad for you.

Now when I feel really tired, I do allow myself a hot Americano with some SF vanilla or caramel, but the SF syrup with the espresso shots make it taste nasty.

I really wish they would get Sugar-Free Toffee Nut. I think that would be sooo good in a hot Americano.
