NEWBIE WEBPAGE....come take a look!

Hi,

I just wanted to make everyone aware of the new webpage I made that is completely for newbies but also has tons of items for the most seasoned of lowcarbers!! It has the rules for induction... an acceptable food list... a carb/nutritional counter... a weight/BMI/calorie calculator... Hidden carb information... Exercise info... Frequently asked questions... Advice from experienced Low carbers and several other things. I hope that you will find it useful...I have gotten lots of feedback on how much the people like this page. Let me know if you like it or even if there is something you think needs to be included. Thanks!!

Cheri - may I make one suggestion to add?

http://home.talkcity.com/TechnologyWay/wallyb/

It is a quick reference and dictionary of terms I've found very useful.

Great site great recipes but i can't use some of them unfortunately cause they call for things like the Atkins bake mix and other Atkin brands. Problem being that i am here in australia so we don't get those products. So i miss out on some great recipes. Unfortunately australia doesn't exactly embrace this diet yet. You go to the supermarket and there is a lot of diet things for the low fat diet but nothing for my diet. It would be interesting to know whether dr atkins would ever consider promoting and bringing his products out here i'm sure it would go great there are a lot of Aussies in need of this diet hey. In the mean time keep up the good work.

Hi Venturis hon...

I guess I am confused at what your question is sweetie.... I would be more then happy to answer any that you might have. I think that eventually australia will start carrying Atkins products... specially with all the changes going on with the acceptence of lowcarbing... Dr Atkins is finally being giving his due!! I am so glad he lived to see the day when he was vindicated!! I would just eat as basic as posible for right now hun.... it is better for ya and I will try to add some great induction friendly recipes that do not include things you can't get the products from where you are located!

Take care!!!!!

Great Site. Thank you!!!

My husband and I just started induction yesterday. Closing in on the end of the 2nd day and we're feeling great! A little tired, but not hungry at all and enjoying it. Completely different from diets before!

This site will prove really helpful as we set off on our new journey! Thanks!

Wow, you saved me! I started induction today and when I went to look for my copy of DANDR, I couldn't find it!

I couldn't remember, for the life of me, what vegetables were allowable and at what quantities for induction.

Thank you SO much for creating this site!

Can someone tell me, though. The allowable quantity of veggies, is that cooked or raw? Is it 2 -3 cups of raw and less of cooked? Thanks!

perhaps add tech stuff for BB

Hi, great site. I'll be visiting it often. Thanks for putting it up.

I thought you might add information about this BB, how-tos etc. Lots of people have questions about adding pics, etc.

Awesome site! Maybe you could add a Body fat percent calculator too. Also more information on water! There is also another great site with lots of exercise clips for each body part: www.abcbodybuilding.com
Thanks for your hard work!

Great site Cherie!!!

Your site is great! I really liked the must have recipes page especially-- I've been spending a fortune on Atkins Ketch-a-Tomato & BBQ sauce. Don't think there's anything you haven't covered. Very helpful

Cheri, Thanks so much for all your help. In the end of his book, Atkins makes a sort of call for action. I think you're doing your part!

Newbie Website

Thank you for creating a website for Newbies. It is a convenient place for find almost all of the information that you need when starting a LC program.

While reading some of the pages, I noticed that large sections of the material on the site are directly copied from the Atkins Center website. Could you please make a reference on your site indicating where you obtained the information? After all, the Atkins Center put a lot of time and money into developing their the Atkins website. The should get some credit for their work.

Hi Sweetie....

Several of the links are links that are directly to the Atkins Center itself and when you go there it has their webpage there and all... it isn't copied... just linked to them.

Some of the links are Atkins Interview I have done with Collette Heimowitz (Director of education and research for the Atkins Center) including the ketosis and ketone strip link... it is a mixture of what is in the center and part of it were additional questions I asked Collette directly but it states that at the bottom (where it came from) Thanks for the heads up and I will double check my other pages... I am pretty confident that they are done right... Even Collette looked it over and said it was a great site.

YOUR website was the best thing that ever happened to me!
I was on WW and a WW friend gave me your website to look at..she was doing low carb with out telling people...I saved the link for months because she wanted me to read it...finally one day...frustrated with not losing anything for 6 months on WW...I decided to look at your site...which brought me here.....the combo of both convinced me to try low carbing and I am happy I did! The weight is finally starting to come off again!

thanks girl for your website..it truly is a life saver!

Great site!! The hydration calculator helped me realize I am not drinking enough water, and I am a waterholic!
The BMI link made me realize I may have to rethink how much I want to loose, 100 pounds might upset hubby (he likes his lady with some curves and some skin on her bones)
Very very helpful! Thanks for the time you spent in doing that!

Blessings

Great page. I'm reading it with great interest.
Can I give you one piece of advice? When you have a link going to a site outside of yours, make it open in a new window so that the viewer doesn't have to find their way back to yours.
