Mila's Site
You all need to visit Mila's site...all my buddies at work got interested when they saw the Nicole pics, but the best part is the "If They Were Fat" pics...very original, well designed and friendly site. I'm getting a tattoo of the Devil Girl !
I hope everyone is having fun and planning for a svelte summer. I've got my 28th H.S. reunion coming up this August (In Vegas !!)...we have to dress our year, so I've gotta be skinny for my powder blue leisure suit and stack heel shoes, doing the bump to the disco thump.15 down and 10 to go. Forgive me for I have sinned...didn't eat breakfast or lunch yesterday, wound up hitting Micky D's like the barbarians hit Rome...but as someone told me...TABULA RASA !!! OK...Happy Friday, everyone! You CAN be a low carb hedonist!

GREAT website! Thanks! I've already printed out "Why Lowcarbing Works" to post on my refrigerator and keep me motivated.
I am coming off years and years of low-calorie hunger, and this article was extremely motivating. |

A Poem By Me
Noodles piled up on a plate
You think I’m gonna grab ‘em? Hell no, it’s carbohydrates And I’m just eating Atkins So this time I pass it all Next time a little faster But if it had some meatballs I would eat the little basters’ |

Anotner one folks!
Dave and I have been playing around with poems. Here's mine:
Bread, pasta, rice, taters and sweets These are just a few things I cannot eat Why is this?, you might want to say Because I'm doing it the Low-Carb Way! Steak, cheese, eggs, fresh veggies and cream Are a few things that I CAN eat instead of seeing in a dream And you know what else? Can you guess anything more? I won't have to wear FAT clothes anymore!!! So, why not give the Low-Carb Way a try? Better than looking at the scale wanting to cry. Go Atkins, Go South Beach! My skinny new self is definately in reach! ![]() |

Wow
What a great site, It's very inspirational knowing that others are struggling the same as I am and overcoming those same obstacles is just fantastic. I wanted to blow up my scale the last 30 days. Only 4 pounds gone, however I started working out (pilates-weights-walking) and this morning actually fit into my size 10 pants (and can breathe). Went down a whole size. I am tickled. However it doesn't excuse that stupid scale. Oh well, I'm sure it will move again. Soon would be good!!!! Have a great LC Day!!!!

I am glad you all like the newbie site!!!! Check out the new page I have put on it called "Thoughts and tips from the Atkins Center" It is a very good read and will help you if you get stuck or will answer things that almost everyone needs to know! I also added a new printable food journal to help keep track of what you are eating and also your water intake.

Wonderful
Wow! Just started Induction and found your site while looking for recipes. I love it. Stuck it in my favorites, I look in it everyday. Appreciate all the work you put into this. You're a blessing to newbies like moi, who without all this support would surely flop.

Just checking in
So every morning I get up, feed the dog some carbs (she will allow nothing else to happen first), put on the coffee (I don't want to hear any of that "no caffiene" crap), then go stand on the scale. I have been stuck for over a week right at 200, and I was thinking about going out and donating some blood or something just to drop a little weight, but this morning, it was like a switch clicked or something...the scale was at 196 and my wristwatch is loose (my wrists were not exactly where I was hoping to shed inches, but what the heck)...I was so excited, I almost decided to start exercising (caught myself before I actually did anything crazy)...I hope that everyone who is stuck on a weight plateu will have some faith and stick it out, plus I just wanted to say Hi to everybody. I need to get a scanner...my before pics in Spongebob shorts are just what you need to see to help curb your appetite.

TOO FREAKIN' SLOW!!
Ok, someone PLEASE help me. This week...I've trained like a professional athlete - drank 72-96oz of water per day for the most part..and selected chicken over steak most days. But only 1.2lbs this week!! What the hell?
This is going too slow for me - someone please tell me what I can do to speed this up! People keep saying "at least you lost weight" or "just enjoy the process"...I'm sorry - I am NOT enjoying being 208lbs... I'll do whatever it takes..need some advice! Please go to my journal and tell me what I'm doing wrong!!!!! Did I not eat enough??? Journal=http://www.livejournal.com/users/mybutt32/ ![]() |

IMMA NEWBIE! And glad to be here
I have been here done this before and lost track and 'blew up' again, but i feel im in a different mind set this time with determination to get there, even if slowly. I started slowly, in October of 2003 by exercising, no realy diet, just cutting bread and french fries and lost 20 lbs by thanksgiving! Amazing. Anyway, I am more into the restrictive foods, and doing this the right way, and currently have lost 38 lbs and 20 inches. As soon as I find out how to post before and durings, I would love to show you the disgusting pictures I have morphed from ! lol

Your site is really helpful - I love the journal page. I am going to give this low carb thing a try. But I have to admit I am horrified. I am so used to failing it is scary to even try. But here it goes -induction. Thanks

It is good to be here with support.
I am three years into this WOE and still need support. I will come here for encouragement. I hope to make friends here. I have had my ups and downs......my Mom keeps "doing dinner for us" which includes potatoes and cakes, etc. More later.

I'm a newbie
Hi,
I have been visiting and reading all the forums for a while now. I have been so inspired by all I have read and decided it was time to make a change, so today I started my Atkins induction and decided to become a member of this website. It is great to see how honest everyone is even when they fall alittle by the wayside. Cheri I went to the Newbie site. One word WOW! Thank you so much I loved it. Look forward to being a member. My weight today is 175lb My goal is 140 would love to be 135lb Thanks,
