WOE: Atkins, with multivitamin, without supplements
Start Date: Nov. 2005

Hi. I'm 43 and have lost 71 pounds since Thanksgiving. I have been on Atkins and have been losing bit by bit after losing 12 pounds in the first two weeks. I've been at a standstill the last month with vacations and stuff like that, but I'm back in the swing now. I don't take supplements, but I do take a multivitamin. I walk 3 miles about 4-5 times a week, and that does seem to be toning me up, tho I do plan to add some situps soon. Splenda chocolate and yogurt products in moderation have helped me stay away from the bready, fried stuff. Glad I found this place (tho I don't think I'll dare to be the first male on the "what are you wearing now" thread.

Hi everyone, I am a newbie to this board but not to low carb diets, I did Atkins back in '72 and when I need to lose the 10 pounds that I seem to put on, take off, put on, take off, well you get the idea, this is the diet I always go to. Congratulations to all of you "losers" (I mean that in a good way) you are an inspiration to us all. At my perimenopausal stage in life it's nice to be able to come to a board like this for support and encouragement. I look forward to reading and posting!!

Hi, found this board while looking up organic food bars and whey protein. I'm glad I came across it. Anyway, for the last two months I have been doing strength training along with cardio and I am seeing a lot of changes in my body. People say that I'm "skinny," but two months ago my body fat was 27%!!! At the end of last month it was down to 25%. My goal is to get it lower and I'm experimenting with different "diets" to help me to continue to gain lean muscle and burn body fat! I think it will be a fun journey

Hi New here
Hi,
I have returned to low-carbing after many other diets. I have a reasonable knowledge of nutritional matters due to years of yo-yo dieting ! I only have 10 pounds to lose. I have lost successfully but slowly on GL dieting which does restrict 'bad' carbs. To kick start me for my holiday I started low-carbing on Thursday 17th and already feel my clothes are a little looser. I must add that I am not on a very low carb diet, as this does not suit me. Any advice or comments appreciated ! ![]() |

Hi...I am not new to looking at this site but new to posting...
I come here everyday to keep motivated. I have been low-carbing since April and have seen great results. LCing has seemed to clear up my acne, even out my moods, given me more energy and shed quite a bit of weight. I have not weighed since April because the scales always mess with my mind. I know this way of life is working because my clothes are baggy and I have moved down in sizes. I am glad to have found this site.... ![]() |

Atkins lover wanting to try K/E Kimkins
Hi everyone! I'm Becca. I just joined this bulletin and have been reading all of the posts and taking notes. This is such an awesome site. Congratulations to everyone! I too have been doing DANDR since July 2003 off and on Did it faithfully for 7 straight months and lost 80 pounds, then i hit a major plateau and got too discouraged. The plateau ended up being my future daughter
Since my daughters birth i have been struggling to get back on track. I would very much like to give the K/E Kimkins WOE a shot! Wish me luck!

I'm new to the site and am totally excited about all the information offered. I'm an old Atkins '72 follower, but fell 'off the wagon'. When I got back on I used the new diet revolution, but with not the same results. Thanks y'all for the site. Shirley

Starting a new page
HI
Have read many encouraging stories, need to get back on the LC track, have strayed way too far, am at critical mass!! Will be checking this site faithfully and starting up with LC again, just easing into it right now. Does anyone have a good 'carbquick' clone recipe they can share?? Is this the same taste as an Atkins baking mix? I do not like the taste of soy, have been looking into getting almond flour, but it's pretty $$. Any thoughts on best internet site for that? Thanks!! |
