Diet Rite and Diet Coke....

whats's the difference between diet rite and diet coke? never heard of diet riet until i started reading the boards...... is it an american drink?

Diet Rite is made with Splenda.

Diet Coke (and most other diet drinks) are made with Aspertame.

Splenda = Good (mostly)
Aspertame = Bad

Aspertame has been rumored to cause a number of problems in peoples heath.. just google it. Here most folks don't like it because it stalls weight loss.

Diet Rite is Caffeine free, aspartame free, salt free cola ( and other flavors).

Diet Coke has caffeine, is made with nutrasweet and has salt in it.

Dr Atkins says to drink Dt Rite to get us off the caffeine, and to avoid aspartame as it has a tendancy to cause stalls in some people.

I know of a few Canadians who have found it...but not sure which part.

Try finding something made with splenda.

I personally can't stand Diet Rite. However, many swear by it. I'll stick with my Diet Pepsi!

I like the Red Raspberry Diet Rite (I haven't tried the cola yet), but I also drink the caffeine free Diet Coke.

I loooooooooove Diet Rite White Grape. The Orange is pretty good, too!

I love them all.. I have no preference...My husband calls me a soda hoochie LOL! I did find the golden peach diet rite at wal mart a few weeks back and loved it!!

I really like Diet Rite. However, I find the cola flavor to be almost *too* sweet. Can't stand diet pepsi... taste like it has dishsoap i it!

It isn't widely advertised. You may be able to find it at least in 2 Liter bottles. Maybe in cans.

I can't stand the diet rite cola. BUT...if you like REGULAR cola. You will probably like it. Too sweet for me.

I too am in Canada, and have never seen any Diet Rite. The only soda I have found with splenda is diet Orange Crush. Another drink I have found is Sparkling Ice(my fave!), flavored sparkling water w/ splenda at Costco.

I think I will have to check out our Costco. I haven't even seen diet orange crush with splenda.......I am thinking of making cola chicken with diet coke but I don't how it would turn out. Anyone tried it with diet coke?

I love it! Just saw it tonight at Kmart, we have it in all our grocery stores and at Walmart.
