My favorite way is to warm cream cheese and stir in cinnamon and sugar-free vanilla syrup. Tastes like warm, cinnamon pudding. |

Cinnamon Milk
For me and my DD's "tea parties" I warm some milk and flavor with some SF vanilla syrup. I top it wth Cinnamon and cream and it is a perfect sub for hot chocolate or tea. I don't like tea or coffee so I made this up. It is very good, even my DD likes it. I got the idea from a coffee house I used to go to. They made a drink that was called a Vanilla steamer. This tastes just like it.
Single Serving- 3/4 cup low carb milk 1 teaspoon SF vanilla syrup (or to taste) 1/4 teaspoon (or as much as you can handle) cinnamon I like a little cream in mine to make it heavier. Try it out!

I think I am going to try this cinnamon thing on a cinnamon-cycling type thing.
I am concerned with the uknown dangers and the mentrual issues. So I was thinking about taking it for one week immediately after my TOM then go off for 3 weeks. I read somewhere in one of those previously mentioned articles that cinnamon will affect your system for 20 days after taking it. Judging by the "stats" thread, people lose some weight initially then it slows again. So maybe it's just water weight. It's to soon to tell exactly. But I am thinking that it is unecessary to take it everyday. What do you think? |

I just mixed 6 ounces cream cheese, 1 tablespoon cinnamon and about 2 tablespoons DaVinci ALMOND syrup. Out of this world. I will eat 2 ounces a day which should be 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Reminds of some cookie from years ago, but can't remember which one. Anyone know of a cinnamon/almond cookie? I'm remembering maybe a shortbread texture?

It occurred to me last night that one easy way to get the cinnamon in would be through "Kim's Flaxmeal Cinnamon Muffins." The recipe circulated here earlier in the year. I copied it but didn't make it then BECAUSE of the amount of cinnamon (2 TBS in 12 muffins.) I looked through my files today, whipped up the recipe and had 2 muffins today, each with 1/2 tsp. of cinnamon. As long as heating the cinnamon has no bad effect, I think that's the new answer for me! The original recipe says 1 net carb each muffin. I changed it a little but it still makes a low carb breakfast meal.

I have had cinamon for 2 days now and I weigh Wed. afternoon, I'll let you know if there is a loss. I eat the cinamon flax muffins all the time, though I only have one per day and I don't think they have made me lose that much but now by adding a tsp. per day, I hope it helps.

Just had my first 1/2 tsp of cinnamon, in my coffee and I'm feeling as though I'm going to be sick at any moment
.I'm not giving up though, but I think I'll be taking my cinnamon in other ways instead., Maybe with cream cheese . |

How effective would it be to brew coffee with cinnamon in the filter with the ground coffee beans? I used to do this all the time, especially around this time of year and the house and coffee smelled heavenly. I never even measured, I just put in enough to cover the entire top of the coffee grounds and then let the water run through.
Just a thought..... |

Karen, I tried putting cinnamon in with the coffee grounds and it made the coffee flow into the pot slower and it ended up overflowing the grounds
. So instead I put a cinnamon stick in the pot and let it sit, works much better but I'm not sure how to tell if it enough??? I know this probably sounds gross but I put some cinnamon in the mayo I eat with my boiled egg and it tasted pretty good that way. Hope that helps. |

I am confused. Pumpkin? Isn't that high in carbs? I have been trying to lose weight , lost seven pounds in one month. Gained three back without changing diet. I drink my water, and walk a mile almost every day. Still nothing. I have tried the cinnamon and still no weight loss. (three days now) ...
eek I won't give up but still this has me wondering ...I love cream cheese and ate my cinnamon in that. Coffee, I even switched to decaf but no drop in weight yet. Sheila |

No, not really high in carbs....make sure you get 100% pumpkin, not the pie filling. Libby's brand has 9 carbs and 5 fiber per 1/2 cup. So, only 4 net carbs.
On that recipe I posted a few posts up, I warm the cream cheese a little first, add everything else and mix very well and then reheat for about 30 seconds. Yummy! Today, I used 2 oz cream cheese, 1/2 cup pumpkin, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp Splenda, dash of nutmeg and dash of ginger and it was yummy too! Weighed today and was down 2lbs!!!!! That's 3 lbs in 2 days!! I've been doing the cinnamon thing for 3 days! woohoo!!

This recipe was adapted from an East Indian dessert called Simply Wonderfuls! this is from another lc site...
1/2 cup butter ~ room temp 2/3 cup granular Splenda 1 3/4 cup dry milk powder t milk or cream few drops of flavoring, vanilla, rum whatevah! I added cardamom Cream butter and Splenda together work with hands, preferably with surgical gloves. Flavour and blend well and roll into dainty balls, and refrigerate. I was thinking of adding the CINNAMON in these or maybe substituting the cinnamon for the cardamom???? whatchya think? Last edited by Melbalina; 11-10-2004 at 09:53 AM.. |

1 cup whey protein, unflavored (Designer brand) 3/4 cup ground flax seed (meal) 3 Tbl. wheat protein isolate (optional) 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 cup erythritol or xylitol (optional) 3 eggs 6 Tbl. melted butter 1/2 cup Da Vinci or Torani sugar free syrup of choice 1/4 cup oil 2 tsp. Trish's liquid splenda concentrate Preheat oven to 350 degrees F Mix all ingredients well. Allow to stand for 5 minutes, then spoon into well greased muffin pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Makes 12 muffins. Net carb count - approximately 1.5 each. Now for the fun part. You can use this base recipe for all kinds of muffins. Add vanilla and cinnamon for a vanilla/cinnamon muffin. Take a half a cup of blueberries, cranberries, etc., and simmer them until soft in the Da Vinci syrup before adding to the batter for blueberry or cranberry muffins. Chop a little sugar free apple pie filling and simmer in syrup till soft. Add to batter with cinnamon for a apple/cinnamon muffin. Add chopped nuts if you wish. The possibilities are endless. |
