Why eat LC yogurt when full fat yogurt is OK? There have been lots of thread about yogurt and adding it to this WOE. Check the Century board as I think the explanation on why one can eat full fat yogurt.

Re: Full fat yogurt vs. low carb (advertised) yogurt

I can't get full fat. The stores around here carry the low fat kind only....and I can't get any of the nifty divinci's y'all use.

I also like to believe the carb count is correct on those LC yogurts...they can't lie about it can they < ooh loaded question hehehe).

I don't eat it often, but it sure does spruce up a morning when I can't look at another hb egg or scrambled eggs.

For me adding lc/lf yof works with my plan as i am only allowed a certain amount of fats on a given day and I dont want it to come from yog but rather from salmon, almonds, avacodo etc. For others, it is a way to control the cals but still get in the foods that they like

hmmm so if we can FIND the FULL FAT yogurt we can have it on maintenance.

OR..we can have this LC yogurt.

Gotta love the choices on this WOE.

For somereason it replied for me before I had written what I wanted to say!

Anyway, I think it sucks that stores ONLY carry lowfat versions of yogurt!!!

I am thankful in that I can almost always find ff yog at my grocery store. I do get frustrated because there is one brand I greatly prefer over another and I can rarely if ever find it. It does seem to yoyo all over the place on brands.

If you go to Ralph's or Albertsons, I know they usually carry plain whole milk yogurt by Mountain High. But it is true that they definitely stock up more on the low fat stuff. And low fat always seems to be on sale...

Full-fat yogurt is a wonderful thing. Have it every single day for breakfast .

I don't have those stores here...we have locally owned Lo Bill's, Kroger's and Super Walmart. Super Walmart is the best in prices, Krogers have things Walmart doesn't carry...but no full fat yogurt in any of the stores.

I've been buying the Hood Countdown LC French Vanilla...its my fave and only Kroger carries that flavor. Walmart carries the other flavors but that one. This town is strange.

Full fat yogurt was one item that I added in OWL. There were lots of posts then when LC yogurt was just coming on to the marketplace. I was afraid to add it because of what I thought was high carbs but search posts for yogurt explanations and you'll understand why it's OK.

I loved the vanilla too, and I agree, I think it tastes like Tatar Head's honey pudding. Not quite as good, but very very nice.

Is CarbMaster yogurt a Kroger brand or just happens to be sold at Kroger?

The vanilla Hood yogurt flavor reminds me of the custard filling they put in donuts.

And here in AZ at Fry's it's $.47 versus $1.20 for Hood's.

Hmmm, save money and it tastes good.

What's up with that!

Awesome yogurts that you can eat a lot of on low carb diet

They are GREAT!! I really like the Vanilla and cherry and peach.

Here on the West Coast, Kroger is known as Ralphs....same store....same great Yogurt.

This product only has 3 grams of sugar.....and 3 GRAMS CARBS for a 6 oz cup!!! Most yogurts have 27 to 40!!

I have shown this to some casual dieting friends and they are SHOCKED!!

Since there about 4 grams of sugar in a tablespoon, one of those small, 4-6 ounce containers can have up to 10 spoons of sugar in it!! No wonder people are getting diabetes.....not to mention fat!!

No else has this .....they really should advertise it.

Love this yogurt! In fact, right now I have a blackberry one in the fridge here at work that's going to be my afternoon snack!

I'm not sure if I read this here or not, but if you put them in the freezer for 30 minutes or so, it's kinda like eating sherbet. YUM!

Carbmaster's not bad, but there's an underlying funky chalky flavor that I just can't shake. I readily admit I'm a super taster, though. I work through it for the flavors on occasion.

One major benefit that no one has mentioned in addition to the low carbs(3 net, 4 total) is the fact that it has 12 gr protein!!!!!

My fav is the strawberry/pomegranite w/a Tbsp of natural PB in it. Tastes exactly like PB&J. I don't miss the bread at all.

The carb masters has a much better flavor than the greek yogurt, plus it's usually cheaper.
