pen pal
In need of a dedicated penpal.
I'm 26 years old and married to a wonderful guy and we have two children ages 4 and 2. I've been on induction since March 21st and have lost 23 pounds and a total of 11.5 inches so far. I'm in need of a penpal for support as I'm getting bored with the diet and need encouragement. I have a total of 70 pounds to lose with only 47 to go to get to my goal weight. Hi, jaimet! Congratulations on having the strength to start a new way of eating and on having made great progress in the first few weeks. Boredom with lo carb eating is not unusual. I will have been on Atkins for a year next week and have eaten a lot of eggs! LOL! You can find variety in the permissible foods list for each phase of Atkins. My advice would be to introduce something new but watch closely to see if there's an adverse effect. Atkins makes some very tasty mixes for pancakes or waffles and muffins which you can use a couple times a week in place of the ever present morning eggs. I make up a batch and freeze individual servings. With enough butter, all things are tasty. I'd be happy to be a penpal to support and encourage you. You can email me at yaneusa@netscape.net
